Can We Overcone Fears Thursday Night?

All that GA talk bout how they were gonna whip us again didn't age well.

Sorry Fireplace GIF by South Park

Butler only played 20 min at OU.
I think he'll have a much better showing tomorrow especially on defense.
Our whole team was actually sub par the first game except for Oweh and Garrison.

It is NOT going to be easy.

But we found a way to do it in Norman, I bet we find a way to do it in Nashville.

This is definitely a winnable game, but not necessarily an easy one. I’m hoping the neutral court setting tips things a couple of points in our favor compared to our narrow escape on the road in that first meeting, but this is still a team capable of beating us if we don’t come in focused. I’m also hoping the chippy ending to that game doesn’t carry over, because the last thing we need is to get more beat up right now. If we can come out without any new injuries and with any kind of win no matter the margin, I’ll consider it a success.

I mean they already did it in the much tougher game. More mins from butler, plus a Kentucky home game essentially, cats should win

Oklahoma - new to the SEC, coming to Catsville, against a UK coach that actually cares about the SEC and Kentucky. And they just played a game while we've been resting.

The Sooners will be manhandled and they should be the ones with fear tomorrow night. It's time they get the Kentucky welcome to the SEC.
This is the correct take. Unless we're way off from three this should be a 10+ point win.

As others have pointed out in other threads, we seem to win games we are not expected to win and lose some we shouldn't.
Probably comes down to shooting. OU was hot from 3 tonight. Have to hope they are not tomorrow or that we are equally hot. If we were totally healthy, I would really like our chances. Like them somewhat anyway.

If I’m not mistaken; we were 4-7 pt dogs to Duke, Gonzaga, MSU, Missouri and won. The games where were 2-7 pt favorites, seem to be the ones we lose (UGA, at Vandy, Clemson, Ohio state). Hope we take care of business against Oklahoma, though.
