That's probably right. Seems like lamb was streaky his freshmen year as well.
Still yet I'd love to see us have a guard that we could count on to hit a good percentage every game
He's literally nothing like Hardway. Hardway was essentially a 6'7 PG with great athleticism. Johnson is neither of those. He's mostly just a shooter. Terrible, ridiculous player comparisons crack me up. Seriously have to question if you've ever watched Hardaway play.
Lamb never had 2 straight games where he shot less than 33.3% from three.

Johnson reminds me of a mix of Kevin Durant and Magic Johnson. Has PG skills like Magic and is tall + can shoot and play the 2 like Durant.
What the team did has nothing to do with him. He and Artis were ballers for Pitt but they had a garbage coach. Cam is going to be a good role player if he comes here. He will be on of our top 5 scorers IMO .
He was their best player and leading scorer and he was a JUCO all-American. Speaks to the quality of competition in JUCO leagues I guess.
watching his highlights .... the guy is like mulder in that he's a 3pt shooter only and cal likes his wings to be rim attackers.
He was a sophomore playing in the ACC, he is a proven lights out shooter. Just imagine him a year older playing along side better players where he will probably get more open shots?

His speed and athleticism remind me of Larry Bird. His smooth outside shot reminds me of Rondo. His power inside game reminds me of me!!! This kid is going to be special!

Totally different players and from way different backgrounds. You just can't make a comparison between these two guys. I liked Mulder and wish he could have contributed more but I see Johnson as a much better and tested player. He went up against high level D1 competition for two years already and has proven himself to be a very good perimeter shooter against that type of competition. I'm not saying he will come in and be some superstar or anything but he would be exactly what we need on next year's team, a very reliable outside shooter to go along with all the talent we will have inside. He'd be a perfect mix and add lots of D1 level experience. Hope we get him.

He shot almost 42% from 3 on 6 attempts per game. Monk took about 7 attempts per game for comparison. So he is a little more consistent than Monk. I expect him to have the green light like Monk.
The kicker is, he did all this facing ACC competition. Not JUCO. Not HS. Not AAU. The ACC.
He definitely is proven.

Nope...never seen him play. Just pulled a random player from the NBA database.

When a good percentage is 40 that means you miss 6 out of 10 on average. I think "streaky" is way overused. Every player misses 3 or 4 in a row occasionally.
He knocks down shots like Murray but not hardly as active on the floor like Murray. Johnson would be an awesome addition to the team and I love his quick release!
He reminds me of Drake, especially if he can Rap " Started from the bottom"
It's not like we need him to be great but his shooting could keep the defense honest.That looks to be our biggest weakness next season.
