Cameron Johnson can play, folks.

no, doesn't remind me of Murray at all..
Agree. Compared to Murray, not much similarity. Different body type and game. But I think Johnson is Kentucky bound. It's a great fit and good timing. Calipari doesn't take many transfers, only Harrow and Mays so far. But all the stars seem to be aligning for Johnson to Kentucky.

I haven't been following this closely - didn't realize he's from Cal's hometown and his dad played for Cal.

I know Cal isn't crazy about grad transfers because of what it does to coaches, but I somehow doubt he minds taking somone from Stallings.

You can't tell me the way he shoots the 3 doesn't look a BIT like Murray's stroke..

I'll agree with ya his stroke reminds me a lil bit of murrays. The way he catches it and gets it loaded to fire.

Reminds me of the white side of lonzo ball lol just joking

If he comes we will have a boatload of 6'8" or 6'9" kids with the same body type and athletic ability. The skill sets will be somewhat different but there are only so many of them you can put on the floor at the same time

I think Cal is ok with this grad transfer, partly because of the connections and also because he has two years of eligibility.

I think he's generally ok once a guy declares he's leaving. He has a philosophical problem with coaches keeping a recruiting board of possible grad transfers and pursuing them.

But like I said before, I doubt he minds sticking it to Stallings.

His shot reminds me of Jordan, but his body type is like Lebron. I see a lot of John Wall in his speed with the ball and i cant help but see a young Wilt when i see him under the board.

i would have used

Curry for shots, his defense like Jordan, but his body type is like Lebron. I see a lot of John Wall speed and Westbrook aggressiveness.

But is he a streaky shooter? It seems like every guard we get has the reputation of being streaky

to be frank...

College basketball player are very likely to be streaky... They are...still way to young.

One player in Cal's era that wasn't streaky, was Lamb. Beyond him, everyone was all over the place.

Reminds me of a more consistent shooting, but far less athletically gifted Darnell Dodson. With, I would assume, a much better attitude and far less love of smoking weed.

Tall catch-and shoot guy. Useful, but the question will be whether he's athletic enough to guard anyone, and whether he can contribute anything outside of the bombs away. He could thrive in a role like Wiltjer had in 11-12. Not so sure how it will go if he's asked to do a lot more than that (like Wiltjer in 12-13).

probably the most fair assessment of him.

He seems to me like what we wanted Mulder to be at the time. Long, athletic, and money from down town. He is all you need to stretch a defense, a shooter that the defense will collapse on when he gets a good look from 3z

His jump shot reminds me of KAT. Up front and high and quick release. Very nice jumper.
