Cam Johnson to visit Ohio State

Watched OSU in Vegas last year. Thad doesn't seem like he wants to coach. An assistant did 90% of the coaching. Directing the plays, calling sets getting kids to move, correcting missed assignments, etc. Thad seemed to only yell at the refs, or yell at a player for a mistake.
I believe Thad Matta is dealing with some very serious health issues. Many last year were commending him for simply trying to be out there with his team every game.
Disappointing.
He visited for two days here and didn't commit?

With the uncertainty of the Diallo situation, Johnson's need at UK has been magnified. So UK needs either Diallo to return or Johnson to commit(hopefully we get both), otherwise the backcourt will be extremely thin next year.

He's not a star by any means, and UK is offering you a scholarship, and you don't commit?

I think he is waiting to see if Bamba commits. With Bamba we are a contender and he wants to win in his final season. Without Bamba we are a sweet 16 team and he might think he has a better chance to win it all somewhere else. He is just using us for the limelight. I hope we get Knox
Really bro? I guess since the recruits don't commit on your time table, we should just move on cause they're obviously drama queens. Right? Come on now, it's not the way it works. First you said that we should move on from Bamba and now we should pull the offer from Cam? What gives? What's the harm in waiting? It's not like there are a dozen players out there chopping at the bit to get an offer. This is it for next year!!! You wait it out and keep going after them. You don't pull their offer cause they didn't commit while they were on campus. That's ridiculous.
His dad didn't play for Cal but it's likely that Cal had a hand in recruiting his dad to Pitt. Cal left Pitt to take over at UMass the year that his dad came to Pitt.

I've had a bad day. I was hoping to come home and get some good news on the recruiting front.
I feel ya bro! I know it's frustrating some times. I just want to shake some of these kids and their parents and say......"What are you thinking??? Can't you see what's right in front of you????"
I just don't get what the hold up is with some of them but then I remember that they have all the power and there is nothing I can do with any of them. We've just got to play the game and know that we've got the best man in the business at the helm. So, I trust in him and try to relax.
Unfortunately, we've just got to wait it out and see what happens. Luckily there is no cost with waiting for Bamba. We aren't possibly going to lose another recruit like we may have last year with Allen. With Johnson, I just have to trust that Cal is playing it right. Hopefully we end up with him and Knox doesn't cost us a chance with Cam, only to then pick another school. We'll see though.
