John Calipari fires back after NBA scout rips Skal Labissiere http://dlvr.it/D6l7bG
THANK YOU. YOU ARE TRULY AND UTTERLY A MORON IF YOU RIGHT A FRESHMAN OFF AFTER 10 GAMES.I it's sad when 17-18 year old kids are judged their first 10 games in college!
Give him 40 and see where he fits into that next level.
I think you read that wrong, he is saying it is sad when a kid is judged after 10 games.THANK YOU. YOU ARE TRULY AND UTTERLY A MORON IF YOU RIGHT A FRESHMAN OFF AFTER 10 GAMES.
I was agreeing with him . I was calling people who have written Skal off idiots.I think you read that wrong, he is saying it is sad when a kid is judged after 10 games.
Happens all the time but this guy could have easily used that tactic without the bitterness.Something else, too. What if this is a scout for a team lower on the draft board? Saying things like this anonymously has a lot of benefit because you can bolster the kids negative perception enough to maybe, just maybe, put him in a spot where your team can draft him
Ok, wasn't sure, hahha. Imagine if Cal plays Tai Wynard at age 17 and has a slow start. The ones who back in August said Skal will be a #1 draft pick are the very ones who are throwing him under the bus now.I was agreeing with him . I was calling people who have written Skal off idiots.
Well said. If he's so confident in his assessment he should be willing to risk his job and reputation as a talent evaluator and allow his name to be made public. Why does this scout get to remain anonymous? Seems a little cowardly to hide behind the bushes and take shots at teenagers.
I was unaware the draft was tomorrow. First year watching UK? Get back and tell me if many of these players are the same in March.Doesnt mean the scout was wrong...Skal has shown nothing to be drafted at all

Still hurt over your boy losing yesterday to Calipari again?Appreciate how Cal stands up for his players...even those who are not very good.
He was never anointed (one n) king. He had high draft potential, there's a difference. He still has high draft potential. Not yhe point...this kid was annointed king before he ever played a minute of college ball...really stupid
You know what's worse than Freshmen that are learning and adjusting to the game?Appreciate how Cal stands up for his players...even those who are not very good.
Cal is wired in enough to find out exactly who the scout is, he will privately destroy him then pray at Mass on Monday.
You make a good point about scouts reasons for not making their opinions public but I doubt that other teams would pay much attention to what another team's scouts would say to the media. Every NBA team knows who the scouts are for the other teams and their ability to evaluate talent becomes public knowledge on draft day. A few years of teams drafting Anthony Bennett types with the #1 pick would probably cost a scout his job. Even if that's his honest opinion of Skal why would he want to share it with other teams even without allowing his name to be made public?Because he works for an NBA team and based on his assessments that he and other scouts give their GM his reputation and job as a talent evaluator will is always at risk. If he makes his name public with his assemment, he's given free advice and his public opinion to the other NBA teams. No current scout is ever going to go public. Never has, never will.

Good question,I have another, did he learn to play in the Dominican Republic or spend alot of years here in the USA in High School and AAU circuit?Does anyone actually know how old Skal is?
