Yeah I probably jumped the gun but it seemed like timing pointed to a decision sooner than later. Probably just wishful thinking. He did say today it's not impossible he will decide in the early signing period.

1. He's ready to pick Kentucky or UNC.
2. He's merely rescheduling his Arkansas visit. I don't think he flakes out on visiting Arkansas for as long as he's been getting recruited by Calipari.
Does his love for Hubert Davis outweigh his love for playing with Lewis? I doubt it, but who knows. We've seen weirder things happen and recruiting, and to be honest, this one has felt uphill the entire way. If Pope snags Wilson, it will end up being one of the most "come from behind" recruitment wins in UK history. We didn't even have a chance at this kid as late as this summer.

Reading the situation it seems down to unc or Kentucky. Branham or Shaw or whoever published the article said the Arkansas isn’t expected to be rescheduled. Being in the building Tuesday and seeing Kentucky in person, I say Wilson is a cat and has been for a while now.
Obviously I hope you're right. This class could be incredible if they add Wilson.
Then you add three from the portal, bring back five, and we're a probable top 10 team next season.
He didn't just forget which day. He also stated that he didn't know who they were even playing next! I think he has dementia or maybe Alzheimer's and have noticed his odd behavior for several years now. I hope he doesn't, but there is something not quite right there.
That’s the dream scenario for sure. Oweh coming back next year would be the icing on the cake
I'm not sure why it has to be a "dream" thought. Oweh is a tweener by NBA standards. Decent, but not great shooter. 6'5", which is small for an NBA three man, but he's also not an elite ball handler for the two-spot.
We've become so accustomed to marginal talent leaving that we expect every fringe g-league to leave, but Oweh isn't even a 2nd round pick at this point.
Meanwhile, programs like UConn routinely return their g-league-level guys. Why shouldn't UK under Pope expect the same, especially in a day-and-age where NIL can pay a kid like Oweh comparable salary to what the G-league can offer?
We need to change the way we look at these situations from here on out.

I’ve honestly felt like we were in the drivers seat all along in this one.
After seeing my father In law with both, he would have to be in really early stages. He is pretty sharpe outside basketball stuff, I just don’t think he cares about details anymore. Just coasting for a check now is the more likely answer. He’s not hungry anymore and hasn’t been since he finally won a title and the perfect season eluded him.

If Oweh keeps playing like he is, he’ll have plenty of NIL offers and make a killing in Lex. I think Pope is going to be able to retain players at a decent clip, even in this era of transfers.

My take was that he revolutionized recruiting one-and-dones. Then everyone, including Coach K who previous spoke up against it, caught up. Then we started getting serious competition. Then the coaching abilities came into play instead of pure talent.
Agreed. Comparatively speaking, if the Tarholes beat Loserville, I'd be a bit happy.
We may want to hope UNC does not get a weekend committment from Mr. Wilson. I have a granddaughter at Holy Innocents Episcopal School and the talk all over the school is that UNC is his classmates choice.
Classmate's choice doesn't equate to his choice. He's also really tight with Acaden.
Why would his classmates choice impact his choice? Lewis is his friend and is already Kentuckys, this all feels like he is Kentucky bound.
This Wilson recruitment feels like another Brandon Wright saga because we all expected Brandon Wright to commit to the Cats but he chose North Carolina. I have followed high school basketball recruiting for 30 plus years with that said I haven’t seen one time Wilson has given a hint he’s coming to UK.
I thought that Wright wanted to commit to uk, but tubby told him to take all his visits before he committed
