I'm not sure why it has to be a "dream" thought. Oweh is a tweener by NBA standards. Decent, but not great shooter. 6'5", which is small for an NBA three man, but he's also not an elite ball handler for the two-spot.
We've become so accustomed to marginal talent leaving that we expect every fringe g-league to leave, but Oweh isn't even a 2nd round pick at this point.
Meanwhile, programs like UConn routinely return their g-league-level guys. Why shouldn't UK under Pope expect the same, especially in a day-and-age where NIL can pay a kid like Oweh comparable salary to what the G-league can offer?
We need to change the way we look at these situations from here on out.
