Cal would’ve dutifully rolled over and postgame he’d tell us “Listen, I like my team. Nobody woulda traveled to Seattle and won this game. We flew to Seattle people, you people are crazy, maybe you haven’t seen a map in awhile because Seattle is a loooooooooooong way from Lexington.”
I think, we as fans, are still trying make the adjustments to having a real coach instead of a carpetbagging opportunist that happens to be a narcissist. Good riddance I say.
If Cal would have stayed, they were losing this game before even boarding the tarmac. I no longer felt Kentucky would win any of these marquee non-conference games. So glad that era is over and UK has a real coach that understands how to make in-game adjustments.
Absolutely. You don't have to wonder, because he did exactly that vs Gonzaga last year. They ran the same middle ball screen the entire second half and he offered zero adjustments.
