I always thought, no matter what team you were for, you booed the opposition. Every UK game I remember going to they booed the other team. People that say this crap don’t watch many games. You could get Florida tickets. I know some that got them cheap. I think that was while students were out which helped some. Tix today were crazy high. My brother kept watching and got two lowers for 400 each. Many were sold for 1k each. It isn’t all fans but many this is the game all year they most wanted to go to

Besides Trent Noah & Travis Perry who grew up in the state following Calipari & UK basketball all their lives, why would this game mean anymore to the rest of the team than any other game on our schedule. No other player on our team is from the state or ever played for Calipari. This game means no more to them than playing South Carolina.

I noticed during the Tennessee game when talking about Carr they said mark pope said goal 1. Was getting out of there with a win and 1.a was not setbacks with Carr. I made a comment about how that was all we ever wanted as a fan base, clear priorities.

I’ll take a different approach. Our players need to play like this is our Super Bowl, because Arkansas will. I expect we win but I want to make a statement. Being very candidly honest, most of us fans have had this game circled for a very long time and rightfully so. The last thing I’d want our players to do, is soften the blow about the importance of this game. All in, all game long! This is the most important game of the season regardless of KenPom or Evan Miya or NET or anything else. Win at all costs!!!!

They go to class with seniors at Kentucky, pretty sure there are only 2-3 teams their classmates would tell them they need to beat and 1 of those is Arkansas. Louisville and Duke would be the other 2 and we took care of those already.

Also if i had to guess Pope is probably pretty real with his players about what the fan base feels about certain matchups.
