Passed on dozens of great transfer prospects and he’s going to lose out on all three players he held out for, I don’t expect Reeves to return either.

And I DISTINCTLY remember after the 2013 season Cal's proclamation that he would NEVER "be held hostage by a player again". Well coach, you've been getting NOTHING BUT "Held Hostage" for the past 3 seasons!!!!No way our great coach would basically be held hostage by some of our great players.
He didn’t get played, he just couldn’t get any one to come. He’s played out himself.
We should ask Wildcat-Lane if he expects Reeves to return.
Flaccid cal. Maybe some viagra would help him. LolFrom Swaggy Cal to FLACCID Cal in under 5 years
It’s bc he cares too much about his NBA player legacy and b it enough about his college legacy. The college landscape has changed, but Calipari has not. He used to be on the leading edge.. he's not anymore.
We can complain about transfers, NIL, poaching, etc.. but those are the rules for everyone.. Gotta play the game and be a leader. No more excuses.
THISHe didn’t get played, he just couldn’t get any one to come. He’s played out himself.
Oh, he's still here. Just posting under another of his sock accounts, right HH?@Wildcat-Lane appears to have disappeared! Where are you Nostradumbass?
Cal has two titles? It’s bc he cares too much about his NBA player legacy and b it enough about his college legacy.
You build a college team now by getting the occasional top 10 recruit mixed with transfers that are transferring after their freshman or sophomore season so they have burnt their free transfer and you’ll get 2-3 years from them to build a roster….then fill in any gaps w grad transfers. Basically high school recruiting has been replaced with underclassman poaching. But those guys aren’t guaranteed NBA picks (regardless of what Cal does) so Cal can’t tout it as his own personal success.
He no doubt knows what to do to be success in college…but college isn’t where he cares about success or what his primary focus is. It’s a nice side project when it works out but he cares about having rosters full of NBA talent bc that’s more about him. Winning at UK is more about Kentucky and he just joins a line of coaches that have won 2 titles…where as he’s on his own mountain top w NBA AllStars/players/money earned stats
I try to stay away from negative post line calling someone out; everyone is entitled to their opinion. He didnt get played on the historic Fab Five now did he?
Exactly. Recruits should supplement the existing roster. They shouldn’t be the foundation & make up the majority of the rotation. It’s just not conducive to winning & it’s not sustainable to build a team around several FR, every season. This has been true ever since FR gained eligibility to play varsity. It’s bc he cares too much about his NBA player legacy and b it enough about his college legacy.

I was saying if his goal was to win another one….giving him 2….he’d be just another coach with 2. He knows he could never catch Wooden or even Rupp. But his primary focus is the NBA bc that’s where it can be all about him and and he’s unrivaled.Cal has two titles?
NBA players first.“Players first” says cal. yet some still don’t take him at his word. what else does he have to do to convince some of you? it’s true. believe it.
come on, these kids haven't played a minute of college ball and they are going to have to playHe didnt get played on the historic Fab Five now did he?
ccc has destroyed the UK tradition & program with all of his negative 1st's.I try to stay away from negative post line calling someone out; everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But you need to step back.
This Fab 5 crap is just that. Crap
What have they won? Hell, from all reports they, well, one in particular has already set demands on where he will play
Coach Cal has turned into a shell of himself and in doing so has set UK backwards
All we have now is BS and drama
disagree with youYou can say he "got played" by Sharpe.
But I think Oscar was open with his intent, wanting to go to the league IF it looks like he can.
Same for CL (I just find it hard to believe he found a team telling him he can make it).
Reeves, maybe he did get played IF Reeves was not being up-front and saying he might transfer, in which case Cal would have been stupid to not try to replace him immediately when there were more options. This differs from Oscar, where there has been only 1 comparable transfer option to him (& we did go for that guy), there's been a half-dozen or so comparable transfer options to Reeves, which it appears we've not really "gone hard after" any of them.
no secret......that has been apparent since his 1st year when WVU played a zone in the NCAA tournament and UK had no idea how to counter it. The more visible showing was the 2015 loss to Wi. Thing's have been down hill since thenSecrets out calapri sucks at coaching
What did you really expect from Cal?? Remember it is the "Players First" and Program/Fans Last" philosophy that got us in this position. Well actually I think it is Coach First philosophy considering all of the $$$$ we are paying for pathetic performance.Passed on dozens of great transfer prospects and he’s going to lose out on all three players he held out for, I don’t expect Reeves to return either.
