Indiana did what they do best, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Seems like y'all would just pin this thread until something changes right?
I'm biased (spent a couple of years in Ann Arbor) but sincerely curious: what presently makes IU a better job than U-M? Do 20th century championships matter to young coaches? Long term probably the "third fiddle to football and hockey" thing but that's mitigated if you win. Besides IU's a football school now.I could see May for sure, especially given he worked in a small buyout into his contract with UM.
Yeah but it's only coaches hired from James Madison who work that kind of magic. However, with how Cignetti turned around the football program around, I could see the AD thinking that McCollum is the basketball equivalent of a younger Cignetti and going that route.

With NIL and unlimited transfers it's hard to tell which job is better than another one now.

If I were them, I'd give Bruce Pearl a look and then hire Chris Collins.Honestly, if he is eligible and they throw him enough money I can see Will Wade doing well there. I don’t like that thought but he won’t be the one. More like Dusty May
Yup, we are the only ones who remember now but it’s nice that they can’t say a word and never will be able to at this rate,It's something that there are multiple generations of UK fans that have grown up not even remotely understanding of how insufferable IUs fanbase was under Bob Knight. Nowadays it's very hard to understand unless like me you live in Southern Indiana and are a die hard UK fan. While IU fans are more scarce than ever they still troll under the bridges around my homestead.
They led by one with 15 seconds left before the basket for Purdue and they took a terrible shot for the win of course.IU led by 1 with 25 seconds left and lost by 5. Ouch.
The bottom 3 teams don’t qualify for the BIG tournament, let’s see how far IU can fall.14-8 and lose to your most heated rival. Woodson has IU primed for the NIT for years to come if they even qualify. Love this for their pathetic low class fans! Bwahahaha!!!
lol 2 million in NIL.The bottom 3 teams don’t qualify for the BIG tournament, let’s see how far IU can fall.
Braden grew up and hour from West Lafayette. No way he plays somewhere else for his senior year. He'll be a Purdue HOFer when he's done there. He's a fine player, but there will be many like him in the portal. And TBH, Kentucky and Purdue, IMO, are fairly equal in terms of title chances.I wonder if Braden Smith would leave Purdue for a chance at glory in his final college season?
