What bothers me more than that, is that no reporters push the issue and try and make them answer the question about UNC.
The best part is their effusive congratulations on what a great job he did with such an impossible task.

I was listening on radio and the ENTIRE PANEL of the CBS show spent the last minute of the segment before interviewing Bubba and his buddy lamenting how UNC could have gotten in over Indiana and WVU. They listed all these statistics why UNC didnt deserve it (1 QUAD 1 win, 1 Quad 3 loss, while the other had much better numbers) and then after a 1 miute commercial break came back and completely wet their pants in the interview never addressing any of their grievances or asking any of the hard questions they were all lathered up about 1 minute ago. The only question they asked was how the discussion went when EVERYBODY knew the scripted answer would be "I left the room". NO FOLLOW UP AT ALL!!!

Yep. It's why they've mostly stopped showing replays of BS fouls and Jimmy Dykes and his ilk justify terrible calls, like the foul on the Amari dunk attempt. ESPN has a mega contract with the SEC. I guarantee they were read the riot act about defending officials before the season.
