Brown and Flagg both injured in first half of game

I didn't think the replay looked that bad. My first thought was maybe the ankle turn caused a small bone to break in his foot (something I did in high school). If the X-rays were negative and it's just the ankle, I think he'll be close to 100% next week.
I looked frame by frame and there was a frame his foot was about as perpendicular to his ankle as you can get, looked pretty bad to me. But ankles, as others have said, are a mysterious thing.

Looked like a pretty significant ankle injury for Flagg. Probably a matter of can you play through pain (and do you aggravate it) but my best guess would be sit him for the first weekend of the tournament, hope you can get by a 16 and an 8 without him, and bring him back Sweet 16 on 2 weeks rest. Probably not 100% but probably able to play.

Ankle injuries are rough. Hope the young fella heals quick. No ill will toward any player. Hope he is back for NCAA. Would love to beat them again with Duke at full strength.

I hope Duke gets knocked out AFTER a game that Flagg returns and goes for 30 & 15. I don't want to hear the 'Flagg was injured' excuse forever.

5 years from now, it won't matter. All that will matter is that Duke has one less title.

People outside of our fanbase don't sit around ruminate about how UK "should have" won it all in 1997 with a healthy Anderson or in 2015 with a healthy Alex Poythress. All they see is that we're still stuck on 8 titles.

I'm doubtful that they can beat an 8 w/out flagg. There are some dangerous teams projected as 8's: I've seen teams like Memphis, BYU, UConn, Gonzaga, New Mexico and Creighton mentioned as possible 8's. I don't think a flagg-less dook beats 2 or 3 of that bunch.

Idc if he's out or not. This board keeps saying Duke will lose early with him due to poor competition of late.
A few posters have been writing that. I still think Duke is the most talented team in the field, even without Brown.

The ACC was trash, but Duke handled their business in a weak league. They're still loaded.

Yeah, I'm not sure I believe them either.

Only 1 team can win it all so odds are still against them fortunately.
