Brohm to UL happening now

Brohm will do well there and its something he should have agreed to years ago. Satterfield has the personality of a glass of tap water and was constantly behind in recruiting because he decided to go after small and quick instead of bulking up his lines. Now the rivalry gets a little fun because I'm sure the trash talk from that side has already begun for next season. Brohm will take the UK game personally like Stoops does. Interesting that Louisville now has former players coaching both sports.

I think you , me and a handful of others are about the only level headed people on this board. When I say something like that , I get called a Louisville fan. Some people need to take their blue tinted glasses off sometimes. Sadly, I think this is a great hire for them and Id be giddy as hell if I was a Louisville fan . I thought they d never make it happen

Leave the Louisville bubble and Brohm is not that impressive of a hire. Only reason he has a record above .500 at Purdue is because the already weak Big 10 division was awful this past season.

That’s a reach. Brohm is a solid coach but if our program/fanbase is scared of him we should just drop football. People think Stoops is going to lay down bc they have someone who no one else tried to hire and is coming home to make UL a powerhouse just bc UL fans say “he played here and it means more to him”. He did a solid job in a horrible division and has gotten a lot if mileage out of beating OSU a few years ago. UL is on their 4th coach since Stoops has been here. That program needs some work and has potential (as any program in a power 5 does) but let’s put this shit to bed that a QB from WKU+Brohm is going to overthrow ACC football and this rivalry.

I’m not going to be afraid of a coach who could only muster 2 winning regular seasons in the Big 10 west. He’s barely got a winning record at Purdue.

Stoops was the bully of one of their coaches since hes been here, the other 2 bullied him. Satterield never took our rivalry seriously it seemed. He was a nice guy. Brohm will have them believing they can beat Bama. With Brohm, you have a punchers chance in any game while he was at Purdue

UL will certainly be better coached with Brohm but let's not forget that their talent level is not that great. They were a senior heavy team this year and are losing their star QB, several O-linemen and a bunch of key pieces from their defense. I don't see them being the 2nd best team in the ACC next year just because of a coaching upgrade. That is not realistic.
