Power 5 experience (Pitt and Texas).

Established Power 5 recruiter.

Play-Calling experience.

Unique, hard-to-prepare-for offense.

Run-oriented, so can fit Stoops overall philosophy, but...

...has EXPLOSIVES potential baked into it (formationing, #s advantages at POA, motion/shifts, RPO, play-action),

Could possibly bring highly-touted QB talent with him from Austin.

What type of RBs would be optimal in this offense? Bruisers like a CRod-type or a slasher quick-cut guy (sort of like JuTahn but faster and shiftier)? And I assume pass-catching is a must, too?

I know coaches are on the move a lot but my goodness this dude is a crack head. Maybe if he takes a chill pill and stays in Austin a few more years.

Did some searching on the Internet:
A true West Coast passing game, a triple-option run game, using up-tempo principles. Uses formations that are rarely seen, for example all receivers to the right or left, 2 running backs on either the left or right side of the quarterback either horizontal with the QB or even in a stack where they are perpendicular to the QB. Marion states that any up tempo creates confusion for the defense and this offense compounds the confusion with the formations that most defensive coordinators have never seen. Requires a mobile QB that can run as this makes the defense have to try and contain 3 players in the backfield opening up the passing game. My concern for next year is do we have the 2 running backs. Both RBs need to be able to run and block. Don't think you could use a TE like Dingle or Kattus in the backfield. Like the concept, it just seems that Marion does not let the grass grow under his feet. Primarily a run oriented offense which would tickle Stoops but unless he is willing to make a 2 or 3 year commitment, you can't select him. Plus if he is like Scang and does not work out, UK is paying him for another year or two. I guess that all OC's that are successful are short timers. Think this offense would be exciting and productive though.
