Agreed, I thought House left because he didn’t like all the time on the road recruiting. I think he even took a pay cut to go to Kansas City as he’s just a position coach there.

All the time. Just looking at the landscape of college football in Conference USA, MAC and Sun Belt (3 similar conferences), the following schools current head coach was a P5 Coordinator in their position prior to take the HC job:

LA Tech
North Texas
ODU
Rice
UTEP
WKU
Kent State
Miami (OH)
South Alabama
Texas State
Troy

Others were position coaches from P5 schools, internal hires or failed P5 head coaches mostly.

I have no idea how the money would match up but that could be a factor.

Yeah that is the only thing I thought of that could make a difference but otherwise trying to look as objectively as I can, I just dont see the move up. I know in years past that would have been an automatic, but now I dont. Think Kelly will be a short timer in the bayou myself. And as far as buidling a resume or reputation . . . I think White can/has done that as easy here as he could down there. You jus dont leave a comfortable situation like he has here without much more on upside. But thats just me
