Boysssss it’s gonna be a long season…

Where on EARTH are u getting we were 30th nationally in defense and at what part of the season was that number? I haven’t seen a number like that in kenpom since EARLYYYYYYY in the season

I'm trying to imagine what is happening in the petrified brain of someone who would continue to fight over a post four months old, even though Kentucky's seven wins over teams ranked at the time, or later ranked, including Duke and Tennessee, convincingly proves the stupidity of the initial post, which claimed Kentucky could not compete with elite competition.

Is it simple lack of intelligence and a gross inability to process information? Is it that plus obvious trolling by someone really a fan of another team?

Either way, why someone would continue to show their ass in such an embarrassing fashion is hard to understand.

Kenpom subscription gives you the ability to go back in time and see rankings on any given. On 12/9/24, the two days after the Gonzaga game, we were 10th overall, 10th on offense, and 24th on defense. So saying 30th was even underrating it a bit.

I didn’t realize it was that high. The highest i remember it was about 50 or 60. However, one can’t deny our defense has been atrocious since the start of the Florida game, and that was a healthy team

Good luck OP trying to get anyone to admit that Mark Pope isn't the next Adolph Rupp or that this team has regressed immensely since the early part of the season and that it began well before Lamont Butler got hurt.

We could give up 100 points to South Carolina Saturday and they’ll still say it’s because Butler is out

He acts like he's a great prognosticator, the fact that this dumbass thread was created BEFORE Halloween after a Minnesota St. exhibition game wreaks of troll and/or stupid.
Why does someone need to watch a half a season to see what type of athletes the players are🤔

We lead the country in wins against top 15 teams numb nuts. It's not like we just had a random good night.
When I say talent I mean defensive talent. You can’t tell me these guys haven’t struggled and looked slow footed on defense since sec play. Take ur blue tinted glasss off before u answer that

lol. The Cats could win the national championship and you’d still be defending your stupidity that dates back to October. “Sure they won the title, but they did it despite having no talent or athleticism…”

Dudeeee don’t make me say something that’s gonna get me banned for 3 days again lol

Some of it is the system. Lamont, Otega and Amari were all great defenders before they got here. Amari still is. He does a ton of positive things on that end. Lamont and Otega have regressed. Carr as well, who was serviceable on that end.

We were sitting back and daring certain teams to beat us from deep. Cant do that at this level. We weren’t pressuring the ball enough. You have to pressure teams or even if they haven’t shot well before you, you’re allowing them to get their rhythm. That’s what happened against Arkansas. We’ve been pressuring the ball more the last two games though. And it’s noticeable.

That wasn’t about talent. It was a coaching philosophy that Pope appears to be correcting.

It's a lot easier just to admit you were wrong and move on instead of trying to find some small sliver of something that makes you look half right. At least that's what people tell me, I've never been wrong so I don't know for sure.
