Whoever was on all better be one and done.

Indiana/SMU fn joke
Strength of schedule has to be at the top Indiana and SMU played no one and when they did they got destroyed

Just a gut feeling but politicks will be playing a major factor in the selection process going forward.
Teams in the SEC that are 3/4 in their conference will be better than many conference champions.
With the SEC and B10 hoarding all the best teams you will see a lot of this. There are currently no threats outside of those two conferences.

Clemson, SMU, and Indiana are all joke choices. I'm holding judgement on Boise St because I haven't actually seen them this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them get rolled.

Even Notre Dame and Penn State are a reach. Total failure by the committee.

Boise probably gets beat but will have the best player on the field

UT looks like dog crap too. I figured osu would come out mad. Don't be surprised if they make a run and even win it all. They have the talent.

Can't believe committee put Tennessee in the playoffs over Iowa State.

UT actually beat some teams with a pulse this year. Indiana (who had to be let in due to 11 and 1 record imo) and smu did not. I'm not sure why you guys are so goofy with the logic.

The sec and big 10 are by far the only legit conferences now. The sec had 6 of the top 15 and they beat up on each other.

Yeah, the SOS argument only holds for me if you beat the 2 6-6 teams on your schedule. Once you lose those games, regardless of who you beat, your argument goes out the window.

Lol The. You get SMU, congrats. That game would have been close or Bama would've won

Michigan and Washington looked like good games to start the year. You can’t leave out a one loss Big Ten team. That would be crazy.

Cut out the low tier OOC games and make everyone play each other, go to divisions or something and have a playoff with standings like you would an NFL playoff and be done with committees.

SOS is such an incredibly flawed metric for obvious reasons btw.

Bama is losing to a five loss Michigan team that has no QB, zero ability to pass.

This is the one so many cried about missing the playoffs.

They did not. Clemson was ranked 16th in final rankings.

Boise and Arizona state are also not top 4 teams and got a bye for winning cupcake alliance conferences. They will be disposed of by tomorrow afternoon.
We’ll see. Never know.

One thing is for sure is that a four loss Bama team sure AF wasn’t one of the best.

Didn't IU beat Michigan? Hmmm.

IU was never going to win the NC, but today showed Alabama wasn't going to make a deep run either (and neither was Ole Miss for that matter). Besides any 11-1 B10 team deserves to be in a 12 team playoff, even if they did catch a big break on their schedule.

Got no problem with it. If alabama gets beat by crap oklahoma 28-3, then you gotta put someone else in.
I don't care that Bama was snubbed or ole miss. South carolina i believe deserved in. No bad losses but had good wins.

No way IU finished 9-3 with Carolinas schedule

If anything they HAVE to change the auto-bye bids for the conf champs. If we want to do a playoff, bracket needs to be set up PURELY on ranking and have no auto-byes. Four best teams get the byes no matter what conference they are in.

So you just dissed 5 of the 12 teams. Who do you have instead? Alabama?

Whoever thought it was good to have home games in the playoff was corrupt as sh*t or not smart enough to have that job.... or maybe both.

All playoff games need to be neutral field games.

But is it realistic for a fanbase to have to travel all over the country for four weeks? (Although I suppose the NCAA basketball tournament does this already with 3 sites)

I'd actually say let's give the top seeds home games all the way until the title game and then play THAT at a neutral field. Get rid of all these bowl sites. I've latched onto a new idea proposed somewhere that the bowls should be Game 1 of the new season. It'd be a fun way to kick things off and teams that didn't qualify can be scheduled in some ways to play against each other in a less marquee way.
