Bowl Games —- Comparison

So much made of overall bowl record, but I’m not worried about the gasparilla bowl, Birmingham bowl, or bob’s toilet bowl when we are winning Orange, Cotton, Citrus, Outback, still possibly the sugar. I’m no UT fan, but they got hosed in the music City bowl. I also believe Tex A&M likely would have taken the gator if they had played. That being said, people are going to complain no matter how bowls or the post season is run…they always have and you will never find a system that pleases everyone.

UK and Arky both won, which is great. How did UT, Mizzu, Florida, MS State, and Auburn do? Im talking about that mid-tier as a whole.
Does any conference go undefeated in bowl games? Especially conferences with this many teams in bowl games.
How did Iowa, Penn State, and Rutgers do?

Excellent response. Gave me a lot to think about there. Being hater on the SEC must be exhausting for you. Guess you'll be playing checkers next Monday night think of that Big 10 win Purdue had over UT.

Dude, im talking about the MID- tier type of group in the SEC. That group that i mentioned above went 2-5 in bowl season. Im not talking about the SEC as a whole.

You gave me a tweet of a SEC coach saying the SEC is not down? Very enlightening to your point. Still confused of your point exactly, if you would like to expand on that.

Any conference that has the two best teams in the country that just smoked the best from the B1G and the #4 ranked team will be “top heavy.” College football is “top heavy” when you consider the two best teams.

Since you won't answer.....Rutgers and Penn State lost...they were mid tier Big 10....UK is mid tier according to you and they have won 4 straight bowl games. Two 10 win seasons in the last 4 years.

Yes I did....you're still confused about how this "mid-tier" SEC team won their bowl game against an Iowa team that played for the Big 10 championship.
UK was also down multiple starters on both sides of the ball.
How much plainer can I make it or you just gonna keep pretendning you don't understand?
If the SEC is "top" heavy, then how did this "mid-tier" team manage a win like that? Think on it while I drink your tears about the SEC

The flagship Big 10 program just beat Utah by 3 and gave up 45 points. Lol.
- OSU was missing 19 players, including 8 starters.
- OSU lost two more defensive players in the 1st half, one to targeting and the other was carted off with a leg injury.
- Utah was basically playing a home game, with about 80% of the crowd.
- Utah had a lot more to play for in the game.

It was an ugly defensive performance but considering the overall circumstances, it was a pretty nice win.

Yep they did both lose. Big 10 "Mid-tier" record in bowl games is 5-3. Sec "Mid-tier" record is 3-5. Same amount of games with both and the losses from that SEC group were to far worse teams. Dont know how much plainer I can make that for you.

How am I confused about UK winning LOL, when did i say anything diminishing that win? We both had key players out, it was a great win against a great team. Because UK won though that automatically proves the whole mid-tier group of SEC teams is really good and not overrated though? Intersting.

Utah. Lol. Don't need to say much more than that. Maybe you need to move to the OSU board.

Do you really think Utah was better than the Cincy team that Bama just played around with last night? If anything they were a couple of touchdowns worse. The Big 10 is crap. Kentucky was down something like five defensive starters and still beat the #2 Big 10 t team..

-check out this clowns posting history...hes a uk bball/ohio football fan. What a loser.

To be fair , most of the SEC teams that lost had multiple players out . Just give up . You are looking foolish.
Yeah, sure need all hands on deck against teams like Houston, army, and UCF(?). Miss State was playing a TTU team with. TTU had as many opt outs as MS State and beat them by 30. Tennessee played with a near full lineup against a Purdue team with multiple starters out. How can you act like the SEC teams as a whole not named UGA or Bama havent been disappointing this bowl season?

Some have some havent. As a whole the SEC is still superior to the big ten , and everyone else.

Why are you on a Kentucky board defending an OSU team that beat a team named UTAH by three measley points? That is the flagship program of the Big10 that claimed they were on par with the Bama and Georgias of the world.

Never mentioned either

So is OSU mid tier? Mich St is mid tier? Wisc is mid tier? Who are you counting as mid tier? What's the criteria?
the Big 10 has one top tier team? WHo is it? I'm guessing Mich. Iowa, and Osu were the top tiers teams? You won't say. Who are the top teams? Who are the mid teams?
So UK and Ark mid teams? Based on what? list your criteris for these labels. Is Ole Miss mid tier this year? Let's go. Lay it out.

Winning doesn't mean anything but losing does? Man that is some kind of logic you got going there.
Losing bowl games means the SEC is overrated but winning them proves nothing? That kind of logic and reasoning is hard to argue with...ha ha.
SO how does the mid tier teams winning in the Big 10 prove anything then?

Your opinons seem to have little point and more agenda.

Its pretty simple actually. I took the conference's top 2 teams in OSU and Michigan and Alabama and Georgia. The following teams after that that were bowl eligble are your "mid-tier" teams. Fair right? You really are gonna say UK and Arky are top tier SEC teams this year, really?

Well you forgot to mentioning that with the group of teams we are talking about, the SEC has actually lost more games than won, so yes, losing does mean more than winning when you do it more?

Utah lost to Oregon St, BYU, and SanDiego State …lol . Great win for the Buckeyes.

I dont get the backlash to what im arguing. All im saying is that beyond Bama and UGA, the following group of SEC teams as a whole has looked relatively poor this bowl season and might be a tad overrated. How is that so controversial?

Trying to to use these "points" to prove yourself is hilarious....

Who do you say are the Top tier teams in the Big 10? Please list them.Who are the mid tier teams? So 10 win teams in the SEC are mid tier? Man you are all over the place with this.

I guess what we have figured out with this post is UKfanatic and Bigcat241 are closet OSU fans that like to ride Kentucky hoops during basketball season. Always got to be on a winner. My advice to them is to jump on the Bama bandwagon instead of inferior Big10 OSU..

So, you're saying any team but those two are mid tier and are overrated?

UK beat the Bid 10 runner up and they are overrated? They performed poorly? Ole Miss is a 10 win team. They are overrated. They just lost their QB to injury in the Sugar Bowl.

I"m sure none of that matters though when you have an agenda and bad take you are desperately trying to prop up.

You got me. Great detective work.

So saying the mid-tier teams of the SEC is overrated means I think UK is overrated when that grouping includes 8 teams? Twisting words much?

Iowa wasn't top tier this year in the Big 10? UK isn't top tier when they were 2nd in the SEC East and won 10 games. Ark won 9 games. That's top tier to me.

You views are flawed because of your hatred of the SEC and UK. Fairly obvious.
