Bowl Games —- Comparison

Pretty bleak if you want to claim the SEC is the dominant conference.

Big 10 has not lost one yet, need to change that trend and quickly

Crazy that Gavin Wimsatt played 3 high school games 3-4 months ago and is now playing in a bowl game. Doubt if that’s ever happened before. 0-2 passing. He did get in a game earlier this season and threw a 14 yard pass.

Need input on a bet: I’m trying to decide whether to lay the 7.5 and take Georgia.
But honestly, what has Georgia actually done to warrant laying over a TD? Either us or Kentucky is their best win.

Having trouble pulling the trigger. What are you guys thinking?

Can McNamara win the game with his arm? That is the question. I don't think he can but that's one person's opinion. If I were a betting person, I would be betting UGA. I think UM has a good defense and will get in UGA's backfield. I think Bennet's scrambling ability will be the difference.

By the way.... Who is "us" in the us or Kentucky?

Since the SEC has TWO teams in the playoff, pretty sure that is not even a debate
Like I've said before, it's just a top heavy conference with two really good teams every year and that's it. At most, three.

Lol. Meant to say us or Kentucky.

I think you’re right about McNamara- but Bennet spooks me a bit as well. Might should just bet the under!

SEC has had 5 teams win titles in the last 20 plus years. Overrall the SEC has 6 teams that have won titles since 1980.
Some years are better than others, but to say it's a two team league is not really accurate.
LSU went undefeated and won a title just 2 years ago. Florida last year was really good. Bama had a struggle with them in the SEC championship.
Most years, I would say several SEC teams could win or be in the championship games for other conferences.

That was actually more than his passing yards for the whole game. He did not look good at all.
Like I said before, the kid literally played in high school 3 months ago. He’s their future, and has just barely started.

Updated through 12/31/21 now …

Somebody at the NCAA likes the SEC. When I looked just now (they'll correct it soon, I'm sure), they have the MAC, CUSA, and SEC all at 3-5 but they have the MAC and CUSA at a winning percentage of .375, SEC is .600. I guess 3 of the losses were for SEC teams that didn't care about the bowl they were playing in so the losses don't count.:D

Well looks like that didn't happen.
Of course the SEC is strong at the top, but it is the middle where it was historically weak this year and today's results will bear that out and add to the dominance of the Big 10 this year as clearly the strongest overall conference. A clean sweep by the Big 10 today is highly possible.

There are only two dominant programs in 2021-22 College Football at this point.

Iowa and Kentucky both reached 6-0, but 3 losses came in the next 6-7 games, respectively.

Two programs are Elite in 2021. Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and Cincinnati all would be entertaining to watch play one another, but TWO programs are at the top.

It should be a true +1 system, after the traditional bowl games are played.

The fake semi-final bowls aren't helping College Football.

Let's go back to traditional bowl tie-ins.

Then, let #1 vs. #2 play for the Final Championship Game.

That was my opinion all along, but I think money has driven the momentum in the other direction. Most fans want to expand the current field to 8 or even 12. More is better is the thinking, until it isn't.

Any objective football fan would recognize how weak the SEC (by SEC standards) was below those top two this year.

Good call my man. Maybe osu will win against a weak pac 12 team.

You guys are apparently unfamiliar with the power of my reverse Karma jinxing. Worked to perfection today. I am as much responsible for the UK victory as anyone on the team.
