Boise State offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan is being targeted as the next offensive coordinator at Kentucky

There are reasons for optimism. He has had success. That is a tangible reason to think it going to go well. Also, the word that Boise is working hard to keep him is a reason. Realizing that no one wants to lose an OC just before spring practice, the incentive to throw more money at an OC whom you don’t have faith would be far less. Reasons.
All that being said. I think we’ll see when we see. That’s not being negative but it’s also not ignoring history. Two years ago we were convinced we had hired a savant because he had been labeled a genius and the smartest guy ever in interviews even though he had bounced around a ton often not even as a primary position assistant and his lone year as a play caller he hadn’t been retained. I hope the guy is great and we win 18 games but there’s nothing here that says anything like we should have some fuzzy feeling about it.

Jacket fans are being a little touchy on thing's that have nothing to do with UK... Maybe Stoops did not want the GT OC and he passed him up knowing he could or at least had a chance to get Bush... I liked Buster a lot and thought he would make a great OC here... But I also had two or three more guy's that I thought could d o the same...
I believe that Bush fit's UK's style a little more and has a good record of being multiple on O which is what Stoops like's and I agree with myself... A balanced O is hard to play against if run correctly, and I think Hamdan run's that type of O...

GBB

Wait... You're bragging about being gang banged by 7 dudes because one of them was famous? LOL Gitty up I guess.
Not only is your post offensive, it makes zero sense.

Rape analogies are never a good idea, despite whatever advice you got before posting that.

Our new OC said in his press conference everything I listed here that I wanted from an OC. EVERYTHING. I hope he can implement it all and have the success I believe will come with it.

Faulkner seemingly can coach well. As for you and Atlanta, good luck in that Concrete Jungle I used to pass through toward Florida. Anymore, I’ve discovered roads I didn’t know existed to bypass that city and foggy Chattanooga.

I can get you by Chattanooga and not much longer time if any. If you figure out how to miss Atlanta let me know.

Ha, I didn’t say it had to be a good one! But returning to west Tn from Fla, I switched once to a route through upper Bama after dealing with wrecks ahead!

I spent a few days in the Atlanta area as a tourist while this past fall. Georgia Tech has a great football history and is a good school. But Tech has a real problem - and throwing money at it isn't going to fix it - the local government in Atlanta has to fix it. Tech needs to get their alumni involved politically. Tech is now located in a bad section of Atlanta - yes its basically downtown - but a bad area, bad traffic around it as well. I don't know how many people remember but not that many years ago Atlanta had a great entertainment venue called "Underground Atlanta" - how many have even heard of it today? The area was allowed to become very unsafe - and it then failed because of that simple fact. People will not go to unsafe places!

Atlanta has become a big modern city - which means it now has a different political group running it who have different political agendas that smaller cities. I can't explain why, but it seems to happen in every big city. It is not an easy task to run huge cities and it doesn't take long for an area to go from ok, to questionable, to try to avoid it. Larger cities have more corruption and its harder to govern larger cities because of so many moving parts and so many opportunities to fail. Georgia Tech is now feeling the brunt of that miscalculation. Hopefully, Atlanta and the area around Tech can make a come back. That is why most SEC schools have a better chance of succeeding - none of them are located in big cities with big city problems. In todays football landscape think about this - how many really good college football teams are located in big cities? Many years ago a lot of football powers were located in big cities - but today not so much. Miami, Southern Cal and UCLA came to mind - but think about it - how are those schools doing now? UCLA's head coach just left to become a college co-ordinator - would that have ever happened before? Do you really think that USC had a tougher schedule than Oklahoma does/did? Riley is having a much harder time in Los Angeles. Co -incidence or not?

Just my opinion - doesn't mean much - but I the Georgia Tech discussion led me to think about this for about 15 minutes - lol!

Go Big Blue!

Remember Underground very well, spent too much time there in my college years.

Everything you said about Atlanta is true. The elected officials are up for bid. Multiple former mayor's have gone to prison over bribery, fraud and bid rigging scandals, suit of schools was indicted for fraud for having test correcting parties, sheriff under indictment for stealing 15m and was re elected, politicians killing polital opponents. A little section of the north end of Fulton County is trying to break away from Fulton County because it says they are paying 80% of the taxes and getting 20% of the service.

So on your way south, eat, get gas, use restrooms north of Fulto County or south of it, just don't stop unless it's an emergency. No exit is safe.

Btw, Nooga not bad unless there’s fog from Nashville up, problem is the only likely reason I used to drive through there was to get through Atlanta!
Another downer, a great grandpa lost an arm when his supply wagon during the War broke loose and tumbled down the steep mountain during the Battle at Chickamauga.

And we could've done much better which was my ultimate point.
Mmmmm.

We’ll see.

This guy was high on Stoop’s list when we first hired Coen.

Last season, with little QB experience, injuries to his top tailbacks, and the leading WR quitting mid-season, his offense finished 6th in the FBS in rushing, while throwing for 3,000 yards.

He ended his career at Boise landing their first 5 Star QB and their first 5 Star WR, both in the portal.

And those 5 Star players occasionally transfer . . . just ask Vandergriff.

Faulkner had a relationship with Vandergriff our 5 Star QB for 2024.

Hamdan might have such a relationship with our next 5 Star QB transfer!!

My God. Georgia Tech fan on here talking trash. I’m certain we are at the end times folks.
Where else could they go to talk trash in ANY sport??

They WANT to be relevant SOOOOOO badly, they come to a UK football board attempting to get affirmation for their sports programs. Lol.
