Surprise, surprise. Vince Marrow’s name comes up yet again. I might get blasted for this stance, but if he goes, it’s a “Well… see ya!” from me. He’s as much part of this death spiral as anyone, being our alleged lead recruiter. They complain about our roster and the culture that’s been created. Who would have the biggest hand in that but the lead recruiter? Also seems to love getting attention more than an Only Fans model, but we’ve known that for quite a while.

I would be shocked if Belichick gave him a better contract and more money than what he is getting from UK. But there is NO WAY Mitch should even consider giving him more to stay here after how far we have fallen.

If he leaves, so be it.But it would be very telling if he does take off. It would be the first BIG SIGN that Stoops is on his last legs.

But, even if we want him gone after next season, will Mitch pay the $35 million???? That is still a huge amount of money to get rid of him.

He's done a great job improving the poor recruiting UK has had in the past, and would have a lot better publicity for it in Chapel Hill. ESPN and the NCAA love UNC. No doubt the fans there would actually support the staff, and they're in an easier conference to win games.

Just further highlights that next year is make or break for stoops. Hopefully Sumrall has one more good year at Tulane, Stoops flees to Iowa, and it all works out in the end.

He should go. The environment at UK isn’t good. He’s been a good recruiter of kids with good recruiting profiles while here. Largely the kids with lower profiles tend to achieve at UK. Recently it has totally been underachieving relative to recruits. Is that poor coaching or poor evaluation or both? And in fairness while he may be rc it may be someone else that is in charge of identification etc. there’s no real way to know who it is making these decisions. But the same scuttlebutt around the building that exists for stoops riding it out also exists for Vince. So maybe he needs the change.

As for NIL the reason NC is getting an influx is because they made a change and people see hope right now to make it work. Same thing we saw with basketball and Cal. To expect better NIL is to want new blood.

I said a couple weeks ago that all our tight ends leaving us telling. I do think Vince is willing to make the jump now more than ever. Will be interesting to see how the money plays out.

1. I like the job Marrow does with high school recruiting…the portal stuff I don’t know who that falls upon

2. His TE coaching has always been poor…but to be fair all recruiting coaches aren’t strong positions coaching

3. The talent level at UK isn’t the reason for 4-8…crap coaching and lazy culture…now maybe Marrow is part of culture issues

4. Now if I thought this staff could turn it around…I’d want to keep marrow. But this staff is dead men walking

I’d hope Marrow to leave and low ball Stoops to get a replacement for a few hundred K and use the savings to offset Stoops buyout
