Big Z

He’s really not good.

Kid is very talented but he seems to have a 10 cent brain and comes off as immature. I’m sure a lot of it is just coming from a different country and culture but I don’t think he’s bright enough between the ears to be a consistent contributor anywhere anytime soon.

I think some NBA team will project him as a decent "work in progress" type pick up and it will be enough to get him to enter the draft. Either way, no thanks on returning to UK. Now his brother on the other hand, that's one I wouldn't turn down if the interest was mutual.

Played 4 minutes last night. He can’t be happy and I am sure he realizes he made a mistake. I would love to see him in Pope’s offense. He will wind up back in Europe otherwise and never see the NBA.
Defensively, he's often a liability. Not strong enough to guard big men down low. Not quite quick enough to guard outside the lane.

Offensively, he's misused. He would be more of a commodity in a system that allows him to roam the perimeter, and we all know Cal prefers back-to-the-basket big men.

I've always been a big fan of his game, plus he seems like a nice likable young man. I hope he finds the right fit. And that fit will be somewhere overseas, where he'll likely become a fan favorite.

Can't move his feet well enough to guard anyone. Wants to float on the perimeter and shoot threes. I like a big man that can rough people up when needed, and step out and knock down a shot.

Cal has let him do all those things this year you claim he didn’t.

The problem with him is he’s soft.

Cal took him knowing he really wasn’t going to use him. Cal didn’t really want him but didn’t want him to stay at UK. Z was stupid for believing Cal’s lies and is getting exactly what he deserves. But yea Cal is all about the kids.

Talk about how expectations dropped after his first night on the floor at Rupp, think he could have been decent with a good coach and patience.

Think Cal was afraid Dickerson would abuse him around the basket

I continuously find it baffling why people on this board think they know more about what's good for Big Z than he himself does. ZERO people on this board know why he made the decision to follow Cal, only he does. He's said Cal was like a father to him and Cal helped him come over to the US and get comfortable.

Just let him be and stop with the "CaL iS rUiNiNg Z, hE sHoUlD oF sTaYeD" threads every time he has a bad game or doesn't get a lot of playing time.

I'd take him back, no problem. Would fit a lot better in our current system than the way Cal uses him.

Defensively, he's a liability in some regards but he's actually one of the better shot blockers in college basketball, ranking 28th in total number of blocks, but ranking top 10 in blocks per 40 minutes.

Not saying there aren't better options out there, but if he wanted to come back and Pope was onboard, I'd be onboard as well.

I watched the game, he played 4 minutes because in those 4 minutes, it was 6 on 4 for Kansas. Z has no idea what play is running on offense and is so lost on defense he is an automatic extra pick player on a screen. He cost Arkansas. I would not play him or really want him back here. He has learned nothing in 2 years now. Maybe little T (Z's younger brother by 3 minutes) can play but Z is just a lost ball in high weeds.
