I have no knowledge but, at this point, it seems nearly impossible for him to enroll and play in the Fall. Could he join the team in late December after the semester ends, get in the mostly pre-SEC games and then play the rest of the season? Integrating would not be easy, but I'd still add him to the roster. Thoughts?

That strikes me as the least likely outcome.

His goal is playing professionally soon. Why would he sit around for four months?

He’ll be playing in the fall -at Kentucky or somewhere else. I still think Kentucky. At this point the fact that we haven’t heard of him signing with a European team or another American college probably means he’s coming to Lexington.

He hasn't bolted yet so there's that. Im guessing it comes down too the test. Got faith its going to happen for bbm.

We're going to extreme measures to make sure a non-US player has to cross every ****ing hurdle to play for us. Meanwhile Kansas is trying to figure out how they can still play Morris, for alleged assault and rape, without there being any backlash.

Wild times.

If for nothing else, I'm glad there's at least one blueblood (Kentucky) program that has even a shred of integrity.

If he is admitted, he has two options:

1. Enroll in mid-semester classes that start in October and be eligible for play by game 1
2. Enroll in the Spring semester and be eligible to play in January

Lexington Herald Leader article last week talked to UK admissions. Students can enroll up to mid-October for "mid-semester" classes. As long as the student takes 12 hours, they are eligible for participation in NCAA competition, effective immediately.

From the most recent rumors, this is the plan. UK admissions has the task to get him eligible by mid-October.

I disagree. A month into the fall semester, it's likely too late to start classes until spring semester. I don't know if that true for the few schools that do quarters. So I don't think he can play (hardly) anywhere this fall.

As for the spring, more of the season is in the spring than the fall. So I think as long as he is allowed to practice before fall semester ends, he can get benefit out of playing just in the spring semester.

Waiting til Jan kinda defeats the purpose as at least part of the ( from both sides) was some extra PT while the other bigs heal and ease back in so we're full strength by March.

It's already been confirmed that he can be a mid-semester enrollee in October. That is what UK is shooting for.
