I’m not sure what film you’re watching. I’ve watched the Duke game three times and will agree we were fortunate to win, but I dispute the notion that we rely solely on the three. I see a team that starts at least three outstanding defenders, excellent passers all over the court and creates offense in transition. Not a perfect team but a darn good one

You started off ok.

Yeah Duke missed an abnormal amount of 3s for that team. A lot of those were open looks too.

The last paragraph tho I completely disagree and I think that will bear itself out once we start playing tough games on a daily basis. If anything, coming into this year we were underranked and have shown that now through 5 games.

You say live by three die by three but we are making damn near 60% of our 2s. We have also only turned the ball on 13.8% of our possessions. 28th best in D1.

Conversely, on defense we are holding teams to an effective FG% of 41.7%. Good for 22nd. Teams are only rebounding 24% of their misses. Good for 35th. We are also not fouling. 5th in defensive foul rate.

This team is so much more than the live by three die by three u make it out to be. In fact, we are only taking slightly more threes than the D1 avg.

We did not hit many 3's against Duke in the 2nd half in the comeback. We just hit 2 timely 3's. That's what was encouraging.

5 games into Coach Pope's first year. I can't fathom this. UK is undefeated. Leading the SEC in scoring and many other categories. Passing the ball like the Harlem Globetrotters. Averaging close to a 100 points a game. Offense is smooth as honey.
