Said he talked with him and is having a hard time deciding.Used the term 'confused.' . Biancardi said he expects St. John's to win out, fwiw.

I'm more inclined to think it's between UK and Kansas. Rumor was that Diallo called Cal and asked him to come visit him again this past week. I'm hoping it was to get things finalized to become a Cat.

Can't see him going to Kansas after the Alexander disaster.

Here's a good indication of how bizarre this class is.

You've got a kid here who's ready to make a decision. Yesterday it's assumed that it's probably down to St. John's and Kentucky. This morning the Kansas people are convinced he's picked them. This afternoon it's Kentucky and Kansas with St. John's definitely out. This evening it might be St. John's.

It's like waiting on Sybil to pick a school.

I feel like this kid is a Cat and think Briscoe has much to do with it.He saw how he will get him the ball.

a week ago i thought we had no chance , now i think we would be hard pressed to be beat . Playing with Briscoe and Matthews and Cal's 11th hour visit can't be understated . That along with the confidence people in the know have , have me giddy....

I would use the term "confused", too, if I looked at Self's track record with big men in the pros and success in March vs. Calipari's track record with big men in the pros and success in March and somehow managed to convince myself that Self and KU was the way to go. Not to mention the point guards that would be setting me up at KU vs. the point guards that would be setting me up at UK.

Why would he shy away from Kansas b/c Cliff Alexanders mom took a loan out with an agent costing him the rest of the season just a few games after Self said Cliff would start the remainder of the regular season games? Even after the whole debacle he is predicted to be drafted ahead of 3 of the UK players that just declared for the draft. Not seeing the correlation. Big Cliff would be coming back for year two to improve his draft stock----in which he seemed poised to do, had the ncaa not forced his hand. Its ok for guys to stay and develop. If Jojo hadn't progressed so quickly and shot up the draft boards---he was more than willing to be a two year guy to work on his game.

I'm pretty confident we'll get him. Diallo and Skal will be a pretty exciting frontcourt. Then throw in a scoring guard like Newman or Murray and we're preseason favorites.

Remind you of Andrew Wiggins at all?

UK- has Skal who is a friend and can speak his language, has Briscoe who is from his area, UK has playing time up front, Cal's draft record, UK's fan support and tradition.

St John's-can stay home, assistant Barry Rohrson has a longstanding relationship, has a chance to be a program changer.

Kansas- Self's success with forwards like the Morris twins, Robinson, Rush, Julian Wright, Arthur, etc. Like UK unparalleled tradition and support.

Of the 5 star recruits remaning, Diallo seems to be the guy that we have the best chance of picking Kentucky. If it wasn't for Slice's move to St. John's, I'd feel confident.

I think he wanted to go to Kansas but after getting along with Skal and Briscoe so well, it's made it hard for him.

I think he called Cal to ask him about how they could fit him in with Lee, Poythress and Skal (how it would work)

I wasn't talking about his suspension. His year was bad long before that.

Going to Kansas makes zero sense. I think it's between St. Johns and UK with Kentucky winning out
All of the reasons of why going to UK would make the most sense. Skal, Cal's preparation for success in the pros, fan support, the need on the team for him, etc.......seems pretty cut and dry to most. Yet, it appears he is looking for a good reason to not come to UK. Am I wrong?

I don't understand the ku logic, cals big men vs selfs big men in the nba is a huge no brainer. Ellis is getting big mins at the 4 plus Bragg will play the 4 too. With us, who is he truly fighting for time at the 4? Lee?? Poy?? Minutes are there plus playing along side your boys skal & briscoe, I can't see ku being that much of a draw.
