In light of the ESPN best college players of all time....

What about the best 11 Off / best 11 Def / 3 specialist ... 1 at each position?

I’ll only contribute here by suggesting Bo Jackson at the second slot for “RB/WR.”

I watched a lot of Herschel and Bo from 1980 to 1985, and still find it amazing they were so close in time, in the SEC.

Anthony Munoz is the greatest Left Offensive Tackle of all time in college and the NFL. There really isn't any debate and a number of former players have stated the same thing over the years.

Rey Mauluga should also be considered as one of the greatest Safeties of all time.

Added those 3 until someone provides good argument to bump them in place of someone else.

Regarding Munoz, I didn't put him b/c while I knew he was supposed to be one of if not the best NFL OT ever, I wasn't sure if he was to that level in college.

DE - David Pollack (he was a three time first team all american)

LB -- Derek Brooks

Have you ever seen Barry's Sanders' final stats? And he had to share a backfield with Thurman Thomas.

I'm not sure how their college careers went but Ray Lewis and Lawrence Taylor were the best two NFL linebackers in my memory.

Maualuga was a MLB not a safety...

Polamalu was the safety out if USC that was Samoan and had the hair

I wouldn’t really know who to put at QB, if it was based on one season, I don’t think anyone would compare to what Joe Burrow just did. But over a career I think Peyton Manning might have a case.

I've had the same thought - two best players I've seen, and born 8 months apart! (Although Bo was somehow 2 years later in school....)

Lawrence Taylor and for quarterback I would go with Tim Tebow. It didn't equate in the pros, but what he did at his time in Florida and for multiple years would get my vote.

Hard not to put Bruce Smith in as a DE. I watched him play UK on Homecoming in early 80s and I didn't know who he was. I just knew he was in our backfield as much as the QB was. BTW, they kicked our ass, 27-3 I think. It was a miserable, cold, wet night, too. He was literally a man playing among boys that night.

I would consider Larry Fitzgerald at WR. When he was at Pitt, he caught everything they threw within 5 yards of him. I'd say he had a pretty good pro career, too.
