Ben Simmons

Simmons is a natural the game comes easy to him, one of those type players come along every so often and most of the rest of them just go as far as their work ethic and desire carries them.

Ben Simmons looks like the early candidate to be the SEC player of the Year. Simmons should keep improving as the season progresses. LSU will be a load to handle for any conference team.

After our poor showing on the road to the vols, I was just glad that Florida was able to pull of the home win against LSU! The SEC race still looks wide open for a number of teams.

Don't care what the haters say, I would love to have him and his attitude on our team right now. Great player who helped beat us, simple as that.

I have watched several of Ben Simmons' games and I have yet to see him take a jump shot. Every point he gets is either on a drive to the basket or at the foul line. He is not a "complete" player until he proves he can hit the 20 ft. jumper. He is very very good, just not complete. When we play them again, we have to sag off him and make him beat us from the outside or take the charge when he drives because he won't shoot the ball from over 5 feet. He just won't.

Well if Simmons (74%) can hit free throws, he should have a decent, mid-range jumper. I looked up his stats, it's interesting that Simmons only hit one three-pointer (1/3) all season. His coaches might have just told him to do what he does best (which is attack the rim, rebound and/or pass the ball to a teammate) rather than trying to be a great outside shooter. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/3907387/ben-simmons

I dont think sagging off of him will help any..All he will have to do is drive and make contact with the defender and boom.. free throws... If he was playing for us other teams could grab hold push hack and it wouldnt matter... Kid gilchrist took a absolute beating and still at times didnt get the call..
