Funny thing is, he didn't actually say that line in the book. He said "whores and politicians" instead of "people".

Winter Soldier was pretty dark, IMO.

I agree, and maybe for that reason I thought it was the best Marvel movie so far. I'll admit for some odd reason I had not seen Avengers before I saw Winter Soldier and saw it after WS and really liked it as well. I do like the darker films though. The issue with these movies is you almost always know the superheroes/heroes are going to live. How many times are they going to pretend to kill Nick Fury? I mean he is not even a main character compared to one of the Avengers themselves, but even he cannot be killed off apparently. I know for Captain America 3 the rumor is there could be an immensely huge death...I'd hate to see that as I like the character that is rumored to be, but so be it. It would be nice for a change.
