Anyone that thinks Petrino would not have been dynamic here doesn't know football....what a blunder!
Doubtful. He would of been in the sec again.Had Petrino been at UK, he would have left when Louisville came open
That's speculation and an excuse losers use. The truth is that he did want the job and expressed in this job. It's not a myth. It's an actual fact. But, yes, by all means, we shouldn't offer a guy a job because he might leave. Brilliant idea.Had Petrino been at UK, he would have left when Louisville came open
I agree...Had Petrino been at UK, he would have left when Louisville came open
Had Petrino been at UK, he would have left when Louisville came open

Please tell me who has said Petrino wouldn't have been successful at UK?Anyone that thinks Petrino would not have been dynamic here doesn't know football....what a blunder!
and that fat buy out clause we'd put in his contract would have put the $$ in our hands to go get another good one. beats having less to spend because we have to buy out the bad coach we now haveHad Petrino been at UK, he would have left when Louisville came open
Let's see, in my lifetime, we've had a grand total of one, 1 coach that was even close to making us competitive that was not eventually found to have violated rules. You may be right that having a cheating scumbag is not the only way to win, but apparently, we've not figured out how to go about it.God just STFU and go root for the Cards then. Cheating and being a complete scumbag isn't the only way to win at football.

Seek help. Please reference when he has cheated? Please use the same references you provide for Cal when he is accused. I admit I was a big advocate of hiring him. I admit he has character issues and all that jazz. He broke a law at Arkansas but no NCAA rules. Whats the big deal with breaking a law? We have someone running for the highest seat in the land that broke much greater laws. Point is no one was indicted in either case. So the only reason for not hiring him is he wouldnt meet personal moral standards of certain fans. I get that, I accept that. But it doesnt change the fact that we had a chance to hire a proven winner and we passed. Just like we did on Schnelly. Its on us. But at least some of you can sleep at night knowing we hired a saint. Saint Stoops of Neverwinnington. Has a nice ring to it.
Im not giving up on this staff yet but its hard to stomach what were seeing when you know we could have had better. Then factor in how much he hates us and the fact that were gonna play them every Thanksgiving weekend until the end of time and its pretty sickening. And we did it to ourselves. The story of UK football for my entire existence has been all about self inflicted wounds so I guess I shouldnt be surprised. On the flipside, had we hired him. Lamar Jackson would already have us back on the map. Im just sick about it all.
its the SEC. Give us the UL crap schedule in most of those years and we're bowling at least 2x the rate which would help recruiting. Not that I would ever want to leave the SEC.Let's see, in my lifetime, we've had a grand total of one, 1 coach that was even close to making us competitive that was not eventually found to have violated rules. That really stinks. For what it's worth, I don't like where Kentucky is right now, or the last six years, but I think we can compete without hiring someone as corrupt as Petrino.Im getting to that point. Im a football first guy with basketball waaaaaay behind. For 61 years Ive been disappointed. For the last 30 of those Ive watched Louisville climb from lower than EKU to the ACC and where they are now. Meanwhile Ive been stuck on the spin cycle. The great news is I know all good Louisville folk so I dont get tortured. Thats the only thing that makes it bearable. I dont think I could handle being in a workplace nowadays listening to all the talk. Glad Im retired.

season ticket sale trends would indicate that is likely happeningBoys, Petrino didn't leave the state, he's 80 some miles away, go watch him coach and be happy.

False.God just STFU and go root for the Cards then. Cheating and being a complete scumbag isn't the only way to win at football.
oh we the fans most certainly were lied to. They pumped promises and sunshine up all of our azzes all spring and summer long just to get butts in seats.
Exhibit A. Clint HurttFalse.
Unfortunately, it's easier to make excuses and take a phony moral high ground than it is to build a football program. It will never happen under Mitch Barnhart's "leadership". And apparently we have some fans who are satisfied with that.God some of these fans sound IDENTICAL to Indiana basketball fans. There's literally no difference. It's like listening to political contributors downgrade "the rich" then when their candidate is extremely wealthy "the Rich" is no longer a problem. It's horse crap all the way around.
You are as ignorant as Mitch. It's only a matter of time before their athletics program implode. Too much stuff coming out.
Mitch made the right call
if you're implying Petrino had a 3 way with Hurtt and Sypher.....yeah, you need to go onExhibit A. Clint Hurtt
Exhibit B. Karen Sypher
Shall I go on?
