Barion Brown...

I know our receiving group for next year looks really thin at this point, but the only real loss was Maclin.

If Key and Brown want to get better, they both have a lot of work to do in the attitude, effort and dedication parts of their games. They have they physical gifts, but they seem to spend more time working on how they are going to celebrate even average plays or commit bonehead PF penalties, rather than giving 100% to improving themselves and making the team better.

He had the same attitude problems in high school. I’d rather stick with solid 3 stars than these 4-5 stars that are uncoachable. Stoops in particular doesn’t seem to be able to “convert” them and get the best out of them

Barion never showed anything that would indicate he will be a good WR other than speed. Dane showed flashes but I doubt he goes somewhere else and becomes a star. I expect more of the same from him wherever he ends up. Some good games here and there but no consistency.

Maclin is not necessarily a loss. He may be returning.

Brown and key are very immatured trash talking with nothing to show for it but bone head team killing unsportsmanlike penalties good riddance 👋

Don't care how they do once they transfer. Don't wish em ill, but don't care much either way. If they do or don't do well, it's on them just as it was for most before they left. Can't catch the ball for them no matter what uniform they wear.

If they want to be here and work hard, not hurt their team, then I'm glad to have them.

Key is a fairly reliable receiver you can count on to make the effort to make the catch. I can do without his yapping and trash talking but I hate to see him leave.

Not all that sorry to see Brown move on. To the extent Stoops is able to, Brown’s leaving frees up NIL money for OL and other needed players.

Due to coaching incompetence. He will be a star elsewhere.
Don’t think so. He makes spectacular catches and returns. Cannot catch a pass thrown right at him. Tired of his theatrics resulting in unsportsmanlike penalties. Good riddance! Our $9mil head coach just turned his head after his boneheaded antics. No discipline by CMS!

I am sorry guys but Barion Brown is not just another regular WR. Dude has NFL elite speed. Many like to blame on player when coaches fail to put these kids in winning situations. Admit our coaching is at a low and maybe we can make progress. Stoops is completely outclassed as a HC and has peaked already. He is a DC and I think we all know this after these years, or do we?

Brown has not shown me that he's an elite RECEIVER. He's a great returner and has elite speed. He does not run crisp routes, has shown a tendency to drop balls right on his number, does not create separation off the LOS and rarely breaks a tackle. He needs a lot of work to become an NFL-ready WR. Maybe he wouldn't receive what he needs here but wherever he goes, they'll quickly find out that he's not a finished product. Desperately needs to grow up, too.

Too bad that speed is only a part of the equation because unless you can catch the ball first you are just fast.

I think Key could be great here or elsewhere, but he got into some bad habits. Sometimes that happens at UK with highly rated Kentucky kids.

I didn't see any reports of this back them. Did you see some of that in person, or did I just miss the news on it (which I could easily have done)?
