My logic was so bad you couldn't come up with anything other than "follow another program".
Only 2 teams since Cal has been here have more than one title that is Duke and UConn. Duke won the first of it's 2 in Cal's first year 2010 then again in 2015. UConn won in 2011 and 2014. Beat UK in 2011 and got to play the power house Butler in the finals on 11 and beat us in the title game in 14. In Cal's tenure nobody has won more games. Been to more final fours. Cal has gotten to a final four in 50 percent of the seasons he has been here which is astrinomical. Those are facts. Not opinions facts.
In 2011 we had a top 5 lottery pick declared ineligible. It would be reasonable to assume he would have made a difference in the end results of that final four team.
In 2014 a team led by mostly freshman lost in the title game to UConn. We had a future lottery pick 7ft1 defensive beast WCS go out with injury in the NCAA tournament. That team still made the finals dropping 3 upperclassmen dominating teams UL, Michigan, and Wisc. Despite being so young. Lost a very close game with some really questionable timely bad calls. Really reasonable to assume WCS could have made a difference in the outcome of that game.
In 2015 we made the final four going into the tourney undefeated winning a record 38 games halfway through the season we lose Poythress a defensive beast who was playing the best ball of his career when he went down. We lose in the final four to Wisc whos forward went off the player Poy most likely guards if he is healthy also very questionable timely bad calls in that game.
So in 11, 14, and 15 Duke wins one and UConn wins 2 titles. without Kanters eligibility issue the injury to Poy and WCS if Higgins had never been born (who probably cost us a title this year as well) we could reasonably have 3 more titles. So who would you rather have as our coach who is putting us in a realistic position to win a title 90 percent of the time? Duke may be as young as we are next year and is recruiting the exact same way and losing lots of players early now. UConn is a dumpster fire who is rapidly headed to basketball obscurity. So basically since we are outperforming almost all of college basketball your saying you would rather win the returning players title then win more games and be in position to win more titles than anyone else is currently doing? Because injuries have played a bigger role in us not having won at least a couple more titles than youth and player turnover have.
