Bamba decision now a "coin flip"

Is this some sort of PR stunt ? Im tired of these recruiters jerking us around, leading us on for weeks and weeks leading up to their choice. Remember Boldon did us the same way last year and look how that turned out.

That's exactly what happens. These recruits base their future on ducking with a schools fans. They think nothing about they're futures

I have no sources, but I believe bamba is ours. It just makes too much sense. He fits in calipari's system the best. He can come to UK, be the man on the team, be on national tv almost every game, compete for a national championship, be a top 3 draft pick while playing with the best players and his best friends. I felt confident in getting bamba more then I did quade green, Jared vanderbilt

This absolutely REEKS of anoth Noel to Georgetown, Harrison's to Maryland, Randle to Kansas, etc type of deal.

I 100% trust in Cal and believe this is all being done to gain suspense for Bamba's announcement when he picks UK. Gets his name out there in a MUCH better way than how it was 2 months ago when EVERYONE was 100% he was heading to Lexington.

This is all about publicity on Bamba's behalf and I will continue to not worry about it one bit. Bamba will be a Cat. Like was always planned. It is funny how gullible the fans and media get in these situations.

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Let's see: a coin flip to decide one of a young man's most important life decisions, between a football school that rarely sniffs much in the way of post-season action or national TV exposure. Or, the top basketball program of all time that is featured on TV all the time and goes deep in the post-season year after year. Hmmmm...
Yep.
Not sure how smart he is if he's having trouble deciding between Texas and Kentucjy.

I hate the NBA. Never watch a single game now. I'm happy for the kids but could care less what teams they play for after UK. I'm sure the majority of UK fans feel the same way.
Why would you be sure the majority of basketball fans would also hate the next level of basketball like you? I would think most would be interested even after their UK years.

I still say he's a cat.He wants a chance at a title, the best training for the NBA and playing with good friends.

Sure if a coin gets to decide how it lands and knows in advance what it wants. Sure.

There is a theory that Duke is floating some of the Texas rumors because they want the negative UK fans to turn him off of our fanbase via twitter etc. The origin of the theory is the switch of the Duke writers from UK to Texas. I

You're not very bright. We're going to win the "draft title" this year with 4 first rounders (Diallo will be a first round pick if he goes) and being the first school with a "none and done" and we'll have nothing to show for it. Will also be great when we're a 5 seed next year and we lose 6 players to the draft, several of whom aren't projected to be first round...
[laughing]

Bragg wasn't very good in high school. I watched him at Ohio state tournaments and he did not change the game a player of Kentucky caliber should. Or Kansas caliber. Settled for long jump shots the entire time.

lol. Man we have some cliff diving fans. Relax.
Rule #1 in recruiting, always ignore the crystal balls. They are guessing. In this case they turned to a coin toss because he hasnt chosen. Mo Bamba told us 2 months ago that he would basically just show up on campus

Seemed to work out well too.

Following recruiting will drive you nuts especially on 18-year old kids with huge egos dragging it out for their "branding."

My suggestion would be to ignore it and just examine the roster once it's all said and done.

Maybe in HS rankings at one point, but never top 10 in a NBA mock draft.
yeah, high school, mocks no way. he is a tweener, not fast enough on the perimeter and not athletic and big for the post. screw him anyway, d bag'er all the way.

I found it ironic. If I were a top player, say top 10, I would gather my other top 6-7 players and go live a year in paradise with them. If had to spend 9 months in college, I am heading to Hawaii.
Most play at prep schools away from home, they go to a college away from home, and will playing in the NBA away from home. Might as well enjoy the sun, sand, and surf for a year.

And I hate that about the system that is now in place , almost rent a player like. Not cool but its reality.
In the era of OADs, that is what college basketball's best players have evolved into, 6 month assassins.

Most did not have much more than a glancing interest in the NBA until they were told to start watching.

This is the humorous part of fandom. No one knows any real details, but someone will begin saying a player is not choosing so they can get attention. Then others run with the story and it becomes the truth when in reality it is made up.
Perhaps he does not know where he wants to go yet. He may have other items on his mind, prom, finals, graduation, family visiting, summer vacation.

It would be awesome to solidify the frontline with Bamba wanting to learn under Cal. I guess its tough to make that final decision because the parents could be pushing towards Texas/Duke and Bamba could be leaning Cal. Either way, Bamba probably goes to the draft next year.
But if you look at the comparables, Cal wins this easily and its not even close. Just look at Noel and this is Bamba's talent equivalent because the offense is the part of his game that needs to most work currently.
I like how Cal got the best out of Bam at the end of the season, despite the inconsistent reffing (really, a roofer?), and no doubt Bamba will be better at year's end coming to Lexington.

The only thing left is the relationship setup. We all know there's leverage at Texas in other areas outside basketball. Has Shaka gotten Durant to call Bamba? Its all possible, but Cal is the best teacher for him at this stage.

Looking for Bamba to make a correct career decision, and let Cal mold him into a potential lottery pick next year.

between UK and Texas apparently.

I was nervous the longer this went on the worse it was for UK. Would be a big blow if Cal can't get him.

A smart person? What does that mean? He doesnt even suggest this person has any deal insight or inside info.

Its literally a guess from a "smart person", whatever that means.

Told you all last week Tucker is a Matt Jones wannabe (both are terrible) but is just taking the main stream route. More proof. This is clearly designed to drive up activity.

In the end, he may well not choose UK. But will have nothing to do with whatever this person supposedly told Tucker.

Maybe not, all I was saying is a lot of people claim that the coaches don't matter. Had he came to Kentucky he would have been drafted in the first round and would be getting paid right now.
Maybe, maybe not. Other schools are pointing to Gabriel and SKJ and saying just the opposite.

According to Adam Zagoria, Bamba "plans" to decide on a college before the NBA draft.

Don't know how much tucker knows about recruiting. Doesn't seem to get involved much in it. Seems odd he would put that out there to me.
