Bama @ Kentucky Game Thread

CMS post game. "Proud of the way our guys hung in there. Kept fighting. Beat up pretty bad but still playing hard. We got to get a few things cleaned up......on offense."

It seems to me like we were just about as competitive before we had 5 or 6 top 30 recruiting classes, with our last 5 or 6 classes we shouldn’t be getting stomped like this, I didn’t think we would win but I thought we would be competitive.

Ya, I expected better... It is what it is tho. Hopefully, we can regroup the last 2 games. Hopefully...

Talent gap out there today was wiiiiide

Well now to wait until KU beats us on Tuesday in bball. That will make this look like nothing freak out wise on this forum.

KU could beat us by 40 and I wouldn't give a shit this early. lol

Well... 40 might be excessive, but you get the point. Maybe 20...

Getting out talented doesn’t bother me much, but getting out schemed and playing terrible disciplined football does.

Alabama had receivers running wide open all day, all day. And we can’t hit open receivers or make routine tackles on 3rd down.

Meanwhile an unraked 4-5 UCF is two TDs on a 15th ranked OkSt.

That's not SEC by any means but it does show how much coaching factors in.

Absolutely no way this team wins the next two games on the road.

This team is toast imo.

We are better than both USC and UL, but just don't think this staff can get them coached up to win two road games after this beatdown.....again.
Scar is just as bad miss st is, and Louisville is okay not great. Kentucky can win both of those games but i can honestly see just about anything happening

You didn't answer my question. 🤣

If I own stock in the company that has an under performing CEO it does.
The bloated wealth gap the past 40+ years is a huge problem in a consumer-led economy. Not just football coaches.

Do you invest in UK football with money?

There should be shame in not being competitive to a team in your own conference.
No not really, two completely different products/programs. UK just is not at that level. UK would need 10 consecutive top 5 classes to be able to compete at that level.

Lol. Two top 5 classes with the right coach and you would at least be competitive.

History has little to nothing to do with current teams given the right coach and good recruiters on staff.

Poor excuses for continued mediocrity.

And this is why NOTHING will change at UK.
He makes some solid points here. And I also would be ok with 7-9 wins per year and the odd 10 win year if…. We played incredibly hard each time out, we played smart each time out, and we didn’t play scared against the big boys so often. I also don’t think those results are worthy of a top 10 coaching salary.

No pressure on the QB, can't run and either our receivers most of the time can't get open, doesn't have time to get open or the routes are too predictable. Will never reach the next level till our talent level is significantly increased. Even our DB's look pathetic and we are no longer the aggressor. Having to coach up way too many players.

Really thin at LB, guess that's why it was such an emphasis in the '24 class. DBs are a huge problem, wish UK would go back to JUCO....got Echols, Lonnie Johnson, Quandry Moseley out of JUCOs a few years back and they were major contributors.

Yeah, we have a history of not having a lot of great CB's. Maybe getting a couple every year with some proven experience. Holes everywhere when we play the GA's and AL's.
