Bama’s Dioubate to portal

Darrion Reid started 3 whole games(on the season, total) at SF, while Stevenson started 22 games at SF.

You're loud, obnoxious, and plainly wrong
Dude we can go back and forth on this all day because LP Youngblood also started they played many 3 guard lineups. I’m telling you the projected staters at the 3-4 spots were Reid with Cunningham as the back up he redshirted and at the 4 was Nelson with Stevenson as back up. Diabate never started because he’s an in between player, doesn’t shoot well enough at the 3 or dribble well and isn’t tall enough at the 4 even though he has the strength. Thats why I stated he was a spot roll player. When you have an AA and Noah guarding him yes he will put up good numbers he is better than both of them. If he came here to be a bench player yes im good a starter no we need a starter not another role player right now.

You're wrong, there's nothing to go back and fourth on. The numbers are publicly available for you to look at and you are making things up.

Who do you see as the starting 4 next year??

First, the real catch here would be Nate Ament, but it doesn't sound like we lead for him.

Who do I see? Folguerias. Sounds like we can get him too. I've been following him since about January. His passing ability fits Pope's offense on top of the rest of his offensive game. Been singing his praises on this board a while now.

Who I want...If not Ament, Lendeborg looks to be a guy who could easily translate to the SEC and produce as he was at UAB. He's a big time rebounder. Double-digits in like 2/3 of his games. Preferable, but doesn't sound like UK is the choice.

Outside of that the guys in the portal right now Im just not that high on. Rataj I think can be really good, but he chose Baylor.

In how many minutes ? Might want to look that part up while you was checking his stats.

I did it for you.
1st game - 8/8/3 with 1 steal in 14 minutes
2nd game - 4/5 with 1 steal in 14 minutes
3rd game - 13/8 with 1 steal and 2 blocks in 22 minutes.

If he just played 30 mpg, he would have a double / double average. Look at the total picture before talking bad about a player.

His per 30 minutes average for the 3 games would be 14.7 points / 13.16 rebounds. But he didn't have success against us this year. Geez some people need to think before posting.
Doesn’t he get in foul trouble a lot maybe limiting his minutes?

Ament isn't happening. Yaxel looks like a no.
Folgueiras is a option. If he says no then what?

That's the point, unless you have another really good forward jump into the portal, your down to the IN forward! And I'm not so sure that it wouldn't be wise to take him and then try and get someone better!

Yeah, I'm a 12 year old because I took 2 minutes to look at who started how many games for Alabama throughout the season.
Does any player not start one year and then start the next in college basketball? Does each and every guy in college basketball have the same opportunity to learn, grown, mature and get better each year? I love how we put each person (me included) into a box, be it, well he did this at Bama last year so he will do it here this year, or he got better from year 1 to year 2 and will continue to get better in year 3 and such. No one but that player knows if they will get better, stay the same or get worse from year to year.
The harder part is on the coach, he has to look at the stats, has to discuss things (hard conversations) with portal guys, find out if they have the same drive that team x or z has. Then how much you want, are you worth said money, do I take the risk.
Fans (not just us UK fans) think this is a quick process, yes some coaches get things done quickly and it might work out sometimes but not other times, SEE KANSAS JAYBIRDS this season. Going slow might not be the answer. What has to be done is each fan base either trusts or does not trust the coach. I am in the mode of trusting Pope. I was not in the mode of ever (even the good years) of trusting Cal. That is my thing and I do not put it on anyone else. Your views are yours and I accept them 1000% but we need to also accept others when it comes to the CATS. Hard to do. I cope by sarcasm most posts on portal. This one is me for real. I do not know if he would work or not in the system, would he be a back up or a starter, no idea. I will let Pope do his thing and hopefully it comes up aces.

We better do whatever it takes to get Yaxel even if we get Alvaro. We need impact guys and Yaxel is worth the squeeze. We prioritized him from the start. Don’t give up and do what it takes IMO.

I thought earlier today that Yaxel was not going to UK at all either pro or Auburn or Michigan. Is that not the case, I know there are 100 guys trying to scoop stuff online and I look at some but take all with 100lb grain of salt. Do you think we still have a shot at Yax or is he more than not a Pro? Would have to see him at Auburn.

How does Folguerias compare to Carr?

I have no idea, just a rumor. We have led for many in the portal and lost out right after that so maybe this will be a case where we lose the lead only to snag one finally.

Geez people like you think if he was so great then Bama would’ve played him more and he wouldn’t be leaving. So why’s he leaving he’s a roll player. I don’t need what ifs like people like you that’s what gets you stuck with ROLL players. He’s a tweeter and a spot player that’s it. If you want him for the bench sure a starter no way.
Didn't see him do too many ROLLS last year on the court, but he is athletic as hell I am sure he can do rolls just fine. ROLL Tide, Lol.

At UK his ROLE would be totally different as they are VERY thin in the front court. Alabama played 3/4 guards a lot of time.

1st round v/s Robert Morris - 21 minutes - 18 points / 10 rebounds / 1 steal / 1 block. If he doesn't have the game he had, Alabama get beat in round 1. Fact.

SEC Tournament v/s Florida - 23 minutes - 12 points / 12 rebounds / 1 assist / 2 steals / 1 block. You see the pattern here ? More minutes he gets the more he produces. And that was against Florida's LOADED front court.

Stick to rolling and Gymnastics, you sure as hell do not know basketball. Koby Brea nor Jaxson Robinson started, they turned OK at UK.

just a FEW guys who didn't start but was very valuable :
Curtis Jones - Iowa State
Caleb Grill - Missouri
Tahaad Pettiford - Auburn
Jordan Gainey - Tenn.
Jaemyn Brakefield - Ole Miss
Denzel Aberdeen - Florida

Need anymore ????? There are plenty. Hell add Aden Holloway - Alabama. Also, yes he probably is a TWEETER, most of the kids in college are. I would say he is more of a Gram guy though. You have literally been wrong about everything you have posted and other have called you out. Let me guess, you think Noah is the answer at SF ? Wouldn't shock me seeing your post.
