I’m sure he’s talking about the play with Ugo. Which if you didn’t watch super slow replay, you would have thought they would have called a flagrant. The timing in that play was perfect but you could see on slow-mo he didn’t have any idea the guy was there.

I watched the pregame press conference yesterday and he was calling UK the Gold Standard of the league. He was very complimentary of the program.

Pearl seemed to credit our guards' ball pressure as the key. Said it disrupted their offense. Seems like we started to emphasize this more since last game against Ole Miss. Hopefully this is the key to a better defense moving forward.

Reed and DJ both played their best on-ball defense of the season. They were solid.

Their PGs didn't have an assist? Sometimes stats can be misleading, but this one is hard to completely overlook.

Another stat that has me a little concerned is Rob's foul trouble in some of these big games is dictating his playing time rather than when Cal might want or need him.

That lob was too high. I didn't think Theiro would be able to catch it. Amazing control to get that ball that high and flush it.

I take pride in this statement as a UK fan. College basketball, unlike the NBA, is not for the weak. College basketball is 1000% more physical than current NBA. It’s like NBA back in the 90’s.

Pearl is a heck of a coach because he's as good a motivator as there is in the game right now. But if he were at UK for a few years many of our fans would go crazy complaining about his lack of X & Os. But he wins, and that's what matters.
