Cats have had pretty good success in these games in the past. I was at the 2003 Florida, 2007 UNC and 2019 UT games.

Maybe they have some magic tomorrow???

The way we're being defended, crowding us on the 3 point line, we could use some more mid range scoring. Noah might could give us some of that.

Auburn waxed Ole Miss, but it was right in the middle of the Beard to Indiana speculation that blossomed over the weekend.

Before that though, they had a stretch where they were winning but not exactly blowing the doors off. We might catch them and give them a pre-national championship run wakeup call.

That game against Florida in 2003 was my first game at Rupp. The place was absolutely rocking and my section never sat down the entire game. A couple of college aged Florida fans in my section got serenaded by 100 Kentucky fans giving them the gator chomp as they hid their faces under their orange caps and left the building with 10 or 12 minutes to go.

That game is the best environment I have ever been in for a sporting event

That game against Florida in 2007… I have not forgotten the awful double dribble call against Joe Crawford at the end of that game. The ball was deflected. I had a perfect view of it but the referee did not.

Who knows what happens if Kentucky wins that game. Tubby was on a plane to Minnesota a few weeks later.

I remember when Sonny Smith was HC at Auburn, he talked about the 'blue haze' that would descend on the floor at times when the crowd really got going at Rupp. We need that tomorrow.

If they're crowding the three-point line, we have to force the ball to the basket. Shots at the rim, not in the mid-range.

Mid-range shots are fool's gold. Cal is gone, and we're not going back.

I was at that game. If I remember correctly, we were up 2 at the end and let Auburn hit a 3-pointer to win it.
So was I. We stunk up the gym. After the game, Sutton was so mad he gave the players a test regarding the game. One of the questions was "what was the final score". None of the players got it right.

The last loss to Auburn in 1988 to Rupp was not only Auburn's second win ever in Lexington but also UK was the #1 ranked team in the country on that day. And I remember too the part that Sutton' asked the players after the game what the final score was and none of the players knew.

I don't know if that was one of the games or not, but I remember seeing Eddie on the sidelines multiple times when he appeared to be less than 100% sober.

This is a game us gamblers will buy. Auburn 500 moneyline doesn't pay much but if we all put 100 or so on Auburn it almost guarantee UK wins...

I think it was senior night too the last time they beat us home. I was 12. I remember shedding tears. I didn’t think we were allowed to lose at home back then haha!

I was listening to full ride on the way back from lunch today at work and John Fanta was guest on there and as he was wrapping up his talk he left this little nugget

"I have an upset for you tomorrow Kentucky will take down Auburn"

Kind of a side note here but in this, Tubi has a documentary called "Eddie" about Eddie.Sutton and talked a lot about his alcoholism and that his inability to deal with it spiked his second season at UK. It had been happening at Arkansas, one of the Arkansas players said they had a big win on the road at Texas, I think and he and Eddie had to stay to do interviews for radio and TV. The rest of the team went on earlier flight home so he and Eddie flew a private plane back later. He said that Eddie always had a briefcase with him and when they got on the plane, Sutton opens the briefcase and he's got a couple of bottles of whiskey and a glass and pours himself a glass. The player said he was stunned to see that's what was in the briefcase and that he was nonchalant about it.
He actually went to rehab the summer before the 1987-88 season when the last loss to Auburn happened and according to the documentary seemed to be sober that year. They had interviews with Kentucky players Chapman, Roger Harden and they talked about what a mess Sutton was his second season here and he couldn't run practice a.lot of the time and had no respect for him at that time. They showed post game interviews with him after the blowout win against Louisville when Chapman went off and Sutton was clearly intoxicated, slurring words.
The saddest thing for me personally just was at the time I couldn't stand Sean Sutton the
player, thought he was terrible. But when they interviewed him and him talking about him much he looked up to his Dad and more than anything just wanted a chance to play for his Dad and hang out with him and that he spent he talked about how dark a lot that time was that Eddie would tell him how terrible he was and make comments at home like "you know you have no business playing here" and.Sean starts tearing up talking about it 25-30 years later... It was just really difficult to watch.

3-2 in those games. Auburn hasn’t won in Rupp in 30 plus years.

I really want to believe we win tomorrow but that’s a really, really good team we are playing.
This. They have ONE loss in conference. In the hardest league in America. I don’t think people realize how damn incredible that is. And it was to….*checks notes*…..Florida. Another T5 national title contender.

Shocking thing is they are undefeated on road n league play. Super impressive. They are due for a road loss.
