Wow. This is monumental. You've defended no matter what - till now. Been his biggest supporter on here. Just wow. Sorry it's come to this for us all.
Hate to bring hoops into this, but we just needed a change there. It's the same here now. You're a good person & coach CMS. But it's time to go for us all.
I think this goes back to the 2022 S Carolina game. Levis was hurt and UK went with Sheron and a super vanilla gameplan with no real plan to win. Counting that game, UK is 13-16 since. AND 3-6 in games decided by 7 or less.

Well, you have a new coach with a new contract who absolutely will not get better results. So it may not technically be worse, but it isn’t better.
I defended him until i saw it was him all along with the touch counts. I wondered earlier in the year if it was, since the wimsatt situation was eerily similar to barrion. There really can be no other explanation.
Lets not mince words: these nil driven touch sheets literally cost us two great seasons. You van see the entire team deflate every time it starts. From Mizzou last year to vandy this year and beyond. He no longer plays to win, he plays to keep people happy.
Consider this about tonight: tonight was the lowest rb carry load at 13 despite averaging 5 ypc. If you're up 10 with good backs, there is no justification. Instead we let the nil late add qb get the carries.
Inexcusable and worth firing. He exchanged the entire culture that made him so successful for a handful of nil divas and got way worse results.
You're right but stoops doesn't have the guts. He stayed terrified brown would transfer. Now its wimsatt. Why on earth does wimsatt get so many touches? Brock was playing fine.
In the initial thread about wimsatt coming here I expressed my concerns about a situation just like this and its derailed our entire season. This is the most talent stoops ever had by far.
Brock should never leave the game. There is a reason no other program rotates QBs. Its beyond stupid.
They should start with the basics. All 5 of the OL should pick ONE person on defense and block that one person. That start would be an improvement.

It has been a real struggle for you to see that CMS has been the problem all along.

Its either he or vince. I see no other explanation for why the last two years we did some things on offense that were so out of rhythm. One or both of them made promises to guys theyre having to live up to the detriment of the team.
Im more than fine with them going all in on nil for the starting qb. Thats fair and just what you have to do. Anyone else starts demanding touches - let them walk. Noone gets different treatment besides QBs, who got different treatment for decades.
Before nil we were doing well. Even if it wasnt as entertaining as people wanted. This wrinkle caused them to way over compensate and its killing us.
If Stoops is fired, the new coach will not want big dog or any one from our current staff and he shouldn't. Get a complete clean break and start from scratch. That is the only way.
we may have a decent roster but not a 9 win QB on our roster. We MUST develop our own QB and stop the madness of getting a 2nd or 3rd string QB from other teams. There is a reason they are not playing on the team they leave to come here. This is a QB game today. Look at Vandy. They got a kid that was a starter for a low level school but he had a ton of experience. BV has been learning how to be a college QB in the toughest conference in the nation. That is NOT a 9 win situation.
I live 200 miles (3+ hrs) from Lexington. Not going to waste an entire day traveling to and from and attending the game to watch a bad UK team beat a really bad instate FCS program.
