Very nice start! I was hoping that it wouldn't just go the way of the players we've had only the last 5 years or so.PG- Ralph Beard
SG- Rex Chapman
SF- Jamal Mashburn
PF- Anthony Davis
C- Dan Issel
All were dominant in their era.
Ulis is the best ever? Come on man. I love Tyler. He's an awesome kid but not quite the best ever... At least not yet.1-Ulis
2-Chapman
3-Sky Walker
4-Davis
5-Cousins

I threw out all the players before my time, it's just too hard for me to know how good they were, in comparison. So yeah, it's entirely possible that others that played earlier were better. But, of the ones that I've watched, I can't think of anyone else I would rather have running the point.Ulis is the best ever? Come on man. I love Tyler. Davis was a center here, but that doesn't stop people from putting him at pf. Kenny played center here, but he's a forward.I'm not ready to name my "team" yet, but I have to observe that (IMHO) Mashburn was not a SF. I'd invite anyone to go to Jon Scott's site and look at the guys with whom Mash played, and the physical sizes of the players, and the nominal positions assigned to everyone, and -- most importantly -- the number of rebounds that Mash had compared to the rest of the front-court players in the team. It seems pretty clear to me that when he played at U.K. Mash was a PF.
Just MHO, of course.

To me, not having Mashburn, Davis, and Issel on the list is a sin. I'd go
Nearly went 40-0 doing it last year. And Mashburn is WAY more of a 3 than Lyles and Poythress were. He had good handles for his size and shot well from outside. I stand by my team.to me, having a college 4 and two college 5s in a lineup is way too unbalanced, especially when most of the college basketball we see is four out one in

Works for me.What if we assigned all players being considered into the ONE position they played? So list all PG, SG, SF, PF and C, then choose the best from each position.
Just a thought.
I forgot Sam Bowie. There's just so many great players that played for the Kentucky. No matter what 5 you pick, you feel like you left someone out.Defense wins.

Tried to put together an all white team. It's too difficult for me to decide between all the other talent. I also am too far removed to know much about Nash, Beard etc.
Davis, Mash and Issel have to be on the team. Hard for me to seperate some of our guards.
The Richie and Willis crowd would have a coronary over this team.Strap in KB88, we might hit some turbulence ahead . . .
