Too bad Arky isn't as good as a middle of the road SEC team.
I watched the game. One of the poorest excuses for a defense I've seen recently. Akron was getting wide open shots from the three time after time. The Hogs were lucky that it was only an 8 point loss.
Akron was 13 of 28 from the three for 46.4%
Monk made the right choice. He may be really good but he can't fix what's broken with Arky.

Arkansas fans using the tried and true "Hur-durr, but you guyz suk in football! Must be awful boring to be a fan of a school where you can only get excited about one sport!" is making me cringe. Yeah, as opposed to being a fan of a program that's not particularly good at any sport? Real compelling argument there, guys. I'd rather be elite in one sport than mediocre/okay across the board.
They're reaping what they've sown on that one. They treated Goodwin like garbage after he chose Kentucky. Anyone think Goodwin regrets the decision to leave Arkansas? Nope.
Arkansas fans need to realize the reputation they're creating for themselves with such ridiculous and vile reactions to a kid. They're only hurting their recruiting even more. Recruits pay attention to this stuff.
I usually like to root for sec schools in the OOC, but Arky has just left a bad taste in my mouth the last few years. For a program who has only won like one tournament game, in the past decade, they sure like to act like an elite program. I just remember laying a beat down on them last year and the only reason it wasn't a 30 pt win was because Cal called the dogs off and Arky picked up their garbage minutes. Then their coach and players still had the nerve to act like they were better than UK and they just ran out of time, even though if memory serves me correct it was still a 17 pt win. Screw that team.
Arkansas used to have a defense known as 40 minutes of hell back in the 90s.
