Arizona lost to #190 in the NET Oregon State

Both of these are stupid posts. This isn’t a vacuum. Cal has been terrible for going on 4 years. Those are all conference losses. Which happen. Cal now loses these games every year. And your last statement at the other guy is exactly what you did. Your opinion was lazy and made no effort to take into account the other side of the argument and showed no critical thought. All you did was gaslight.
LOL.

The other side of the argument is that we shouldn't lose to Texas A&M--that's a failure. We shouldn't lose to South Carolina--that's a failure.

Meanwhile, Kansas recently lost to a worse WVU team. Duke has two worse conference losses than we do. Arizona has a terrble conference loss.

But people are saying "this can't happen at Kentucky." It's ok to happen at Duke. It's ok to happen at Kansas. But we shouldn't accept it here.

Which I'm still not sure what "accept it" means. Are we gonna storm Barnhart's office and take control?

It’s how we lost that creates doubt, not just that we lost.

Yeah this wasn't some close loss on the road (ie Auburn at Bama the other night). We weren't even in the game.

But honestly it shouldn't have created much doubt, most have been point out for weeks now about how bad the defense was. This was always possible IMO

You're right. UNC-Wilmington is better than Oregon St.

What did make it worse those was obviously the fact it was at Rupp tho.
Based on an incomplete and imperfect math formula. Oregon St has better players than Wilmington. Regardless, you can lose to any team in conference. It happens. You can’t lose to the bunnies at home early in the season.

Not based on an incomplete and imperfect formula. Based on actual results on the court this season.

I mean could very well be true that Oregon St has better players but they certainly haven't had better results on the whole.

All Kenpom and NET and all this stuff is basically a points per possession system. What did you score, what did you give up and against what competition. Given the 50 spot difference between the two I feel pretty confident UNC-W is the better team.

It’s definitely imperfect and it’s definitely incomplete. If it were complete it would be vastly different later in the year and if it weren’t imperfect there’d be no need to play the games. It’s one metric. If Oregon St and Wilmington play tomorrow with a gun to your head, who are you picking? Because most people would pick Oregon st.

LOL.

How about losing at home to UNCW? you conveniently left that out and Arizona isn’t UK. They aren’t even in the blue blood discussion.

And I included the way you compare the 2. Right? Both are Quad 3 losses. If nothing else, you'd say they're equal. But I think common sense says losing to 166 is worse than losing to 102. Regardless of location.

Also this whole "But we're a blue blood" is overdone. What does that mean for today's games? I've said it a bunch of times in this very thread. Some of you guys act like there's magical pixie dust inside the "Kentucky" on the jersey. And it's not factual. Arizona has been a really good program the last 3 years. They lose. But hell, let's just say you're right and blue blood jerseys have magic pixie dust in them.

UNC lost a whole bunch of games last year and missed the tournament. Duke's lost to this Arkansas team we just beat. Kansas lost to #150 in the NET West Virginia. Why aren't they activating the pixie dust? They're blue bloods.
