AP is going to be a beast

Poy certainly shut the OP up last night at least. As I said earlier in the thread, 10 and 7-8 would be great going forward. Nights like last night should not be expected much more at all, but if I'm wrong I will gladly eat crow.

The OP just posted right before you.

I won't admit that I'm a Poy hater because I'm not. The fact that you keep spewing that garbage just proves you're an antagonist and just like stirring the pot whether you want to admit that or not.

I and others have merely pointed out the fact that Alex doesn't play like he did tonight every game. Nothing I quoted was out of context. It's the whole paragraph from Cal's presser and the opinion of the writer. Whether you care to admit it or not Alex doesn't play with the passion he played with tonight every game. That's not bashing, that's stating a fact. Yes, he's recovering from an injury but he wasn't injured the other 2 1/2 years. It's clear you know nothing about basketball, you just like to get on message boards and bait. Here's to hoping Alex keeps up the play we saw tonight. Fire away.

Your point? Of course you have no point. Anthony Davis doesn't have a career night every time out. Does that mean he plays without passion? Poythress played great before he was injured last year. But you left that out. He's been asked to play out of position. But you failed there too.

Guilt doesn't require a confession. You are exactly what I said, admission or not.

And you continue to prove you're exactly what I said, an antagonist and baiter with no understanding of the game of basketball whatsoever. Admission or not.

LOL. Yeah yeah. Sure sure.

Neither of us know a hundredth of what Calipari does about basketball. As I mentioned, Cal started Poy on what might have been the deepest front line in history of college basketball.

Now you go keep hating on Poythress. I know what your agenda is.

Poy plays great against teams with smaller interior players like last night. It is a great matchup for him. Glad he exploited his advantage against EKU.

Ah, nothing better than the response of a beaten basher in the morning.

Cartoons, really? Thanks for your intellectual contribution to the thread.

Beaten basher? That may be how you view it but you've cleary illustrated there is not an ounce of intelligence in you, thus I resorted to "cartoons" to see if you could comprehend something on that level. You've proven once again that you can't. Beaten? [laughing] Hardly! :boxing:

I notice you've had precious little to say about Poythress. That discussion over? I don't have time to trade personnel insults with someone that who's vocabulary is limited to emojis.

I've talked about Poythress and the good game he played last night. You've just been so eager and determined to call me a basher and a hater that you haven't bothered to actually read what I was posting.

This thread is basically just me and you now. You keep calling me a basher and hater and I keep defending myself. I love Alex and the quality young man he is on and off the floor. I just wish he was more consistent in his effort. To you that's bashing. To me it's an honest assessment, and one shared by many UK fans, including his coach. So go ahead and call me a basher and hater again and I'll be back eventually and defend myself again.

Oh I read it, jibberish though it is. Couple of petty cherry picked stats. Total disregard for defense. Completely disregard for 2015. And based on that you start trashing Poythress. I wouldn't waste time trying to defend that sort of biased crap if I were you. I just read it and laughed at the pathetic attempt to discredit Poythress.

His coach? You mean the one that started him on one of the deepest front courts in history? That coach? Let me cut you in on a little secret. You want to know what a coach thinks about a player, watch that coach's actions and pay less attention to what he says.

Let me give you a hand in case you want a bit more enlightened view of Poythress. Look up the shooting percentage of his opponents pre-injury in 2015. Apply that percentage to Decker in the Wisconsin game. Project the impact on the score. Then tell me how little impact Poythress would have had. Only one more championship is all.

Hey, if nothing else you can use it as an opportunity to trash one of our finest examples of a student athlete. That should make you very happy!

Oh, use your words. I don't speak emoji very well. Bottom line is that Poythress has to satisfy himself and his coach. You and bashers like you don't count for crap. Maybe you can find a cartoon for that.

Classic. Thanks for not disappointing me.

I'm thrilled about what AP is capable of at the 4 position on both sides of the court. The 3 and 5 positions are more uncertain and I'm not sure where that's headed, yet the talent is there. Only about 300 schools would love to have that problem.

Something is really wrong with that guy. He keeps asking for proof, and I provided a whole season of offensive stats. I'll tell you right now that Alex is no Liggins or MKG or AD on defense...so he does not affect the game on defense alone. Hell he fouled out against UCLA. So when this guy wants to show me stats proving the "defensive stopper" that Alex is then I'll apologize.

You really don't understand basketball or you are just enjoying trashing Alex. Last year Alex held his guy to 12.8% shooting before the injury. Now to a basketball moron, that stat is meaningless. It shouldn't deter you from trashing a fine you man at all.

Oh, and yes he fouled out. And that means exactly what? Nothing, except those same folks that don't appreciate defensive stats.

Thanks for that stat, now I just want to know where you got that stat? If you calculated it, how do you know who he guarded? Being serious, because I want to look at those stats.

Most idiots can use google. If you can't, then small likelihood you can comprehend anything else I'd say. It's actually been discussed on this board a few times.

Figured a number like that would make a Poythress basher cry.
