The bad news is, we have several more losses coming. The good news is so does most everyone else except for perhaps Auburn, Duke, ISU and maybe Bama.
Kansas who also lost Saturday and has lost 2 of their last 4 also moved up. I guess beating a 10-9 TCU team carries a lot of weight with voters. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They need a massive road wins tomorrow night then a clobbering at home vs Arkansas then we will figure the rest out next week.
Also, UConn has lost 3 of their last 6 to unranked teams. I guess back to back national titles gets you a lot of street cred votes.
If Vandy had been blown out by UT, we'd be 15 or lower. That win helped our loss look slightly less worse. And maybe for a change we're getting some "well they have injuries" bias like other teams always seem to get in the polls.
Well, with the injuries and the way we are regressing, we will be hitting those rankings very soon. Our schedule is brutal.
I'd take their schedule over what we have coming up and they're healthy right now.
I wasn't even meaning to say their schedule is better/worse than ours.
Just that they also have a really brutal schedule coming up, and I would expect them to drop a handful.
That's fair however KU ahead if us is kinda a joke after they lost at home and we lost on the road. Plus they don't have as many Quad 1 wins as us and they have a Quad 2 loss.
The think that irks me is I don't feel like the SEC is getting the respect due. To win on the road in the SEC is dam hard and every other game is against a ranked opponent.
Meanwhile Dook gets praised for beating up on bums. 3 of their last 4 opponents have a losing record and nomatter what its been decided they're getting a 1 seed. They haven't played a top 30 NET team since Dec. 8th. Louisville. They have only beaten 2 ranked teams and Louisville wasn't even ranked when they beat them. Their biggest challenge the other day Wake is 71st NET.🤡
Hell SC and LSU, are worse, could probably compete in most these other conferences. Both won their ACC challenge games by double digits.
Alright my rant is over, but seriously this year SEC wins and losses should count different like years back for the Big10. We are all gonna beat up on each other.
In 2018 UNC was a 2 seed despite 11 losses and finishing 6th in their own league. Maybe we can get some respect like that. 🤣

SEC is just tough this year- I really thought we would be around 15th-18th. Going to be tough going even .500 in this league.
We were a 2 seed before Bama game. Now we are either a low 3 seed or a high 4 seed. Lose to Tennessee and will probably be a 4 seed. Beat Arkansas and will probably still be a 4 seed.
The problem is how many road games are we going to win rest of the way ? Then you still have both Auburn and Tennessee at home.
Really had to have that Bama home win and that Vandy road win.

Man the ACC is trash. 18 teams, 2 ranked and half have losing records. Dooks gonna enter the tourney soft after playing bums for 2 months.
Before the season started you’d have Ben happy to be 12th at this stage in the season with 4 very quality wins right? Then why suddenly are you not happy with it now? Not one person expected anything more than we’ve achieved at this point. This team is doing well for a team created last minute from nothing. Give CMP some time and stop changing expectations so easily. Not one poster on here before the season started expected this team to be a top 10 team, most didn’t even think it was a top 25 team. We have overall overachieved so far, anyone who says different is lying to themselves. SEC is tough this year and sure we’ve lost a game or two we shouldn’t have but we also won some big games we shouldn’t have. That’s basketball plain and simple. Enjoy the ride and watch where we are in a year or two when CMP has a chance to build his team and system.

Yeah, we are ecstatic at the big wins and being ranked 12th, but why is it so hard to grasp that some of us are looking at the situation and can clearly see that this could end in disaster.
All that hard work the team put in to get to #4, #8 and a projected 2 seed, could be washed right away and I'm sorry, but that's a shot to the gut after we have already taken so many shots to the gut the last 5 years.

It really depends on their effort if I watch the game tonight. Gonna wait till halftime and see the score. If they’re actually trying, then I will give up my time to watch the game. If not, then I’m not gonna put myself through it again.

Thanks for the unsolicited pep talk, bud. Of course I'm happy with the way this season has started, and progressed. Before the season started we didn't know what to expect. Now, we have tasted much better success than we had thought possible. But, as Cat fans, we always want the best, don't we?
And I am enjoying the ride.
We have two more losses coming this week. be sub 20 this time next week after 4 game skid. Mark pope honeymoon will be over for the most part but I still like him as a coach. He just needs to find a way to get his team motivated. 3 key players being injured is rough but you’re gonna have that relying on 5th year dudes who’s body’s are beat up.
You think Arky beats us at Rupp Saturday? I get tonight, but feel we'll own Cal's return to Lexington.
