Anyone see the Bart Starr story on SECN?

I wasn't a Packer fan back in those days but makes me wish I had been. He overcame more
than his share of hardships at every level. Bill Curry may not have been much of a coach
here but I have a lot of respect for him as a man

I enjoyed the show. That was back in the day when the players didn't make a fortune but it was a simpler time too. It is hard to imagine a backup QB that hardly played at all even at Alabama getting a shot in the pros today.

I watched it. Very good story. Honestly did not know he went to Bama.

Bama has out 3 all time legends at QB in my opinion.

Starr, Broadway Joe, The Snake Stabler.

Haven't seen it yet but hope to catch it sometime this weekend.
Bart Starr was the reason I became a Packers fan back in the day, and still am to this day.

Met Bart in DFW airport quite a few years ago. Normally I’d never approach a person of note but as long time Packer fan starting pre-Lombardi I had to take the chance. He was very cordial and gave me and the fam a nice few minutes.
