Anyone Else Tired Of Zone Defenses In College Basketball?

The NCAA will never consider it. They have expanded the Division I from a little over 100 schools to 350. With the diluted pool of talent you have to allow the gimmick defense to give the less talented a chance to win.

The power six conferences need to withdraw from the NCAA.

its a little ironic to me that there are so many uk fans that seemingly hate the NBA and dont want the college game to evolve into anything close too it but with Cal at the helm uk runs its program and the style of play is more NBA like than any other team.

Just because Cal doesn't like it doesn't make it the way is should be.

You need to get your head out of Cal's ass so you can think for yourself.

ncaa basketball....where fans watching a guy take 9 seconds to dribble the ball up the court, reverse the ball endlessly and needlessly to run some set play to validate some great "X's and O's" which essentially turns into a high ball screen...exactly what the NBA runs, just 20 seconds sooner.
And there it is. As much of the root of the problem as anything. Where's the brains behind winning a game 93-92? How does that make a coach look like a good strategist?

Also, it's hard to believe that the age of terrible NBA (1997-2005) is still affecting people's views on the game today. I don't even think cocaine did this much damage to the league.

They have been with us for decades. They can be very effective although not terribly entertaining to watch. Duke sure shocked Louisville last Saturday with a very effective zone.
