We suffered the last 5 years with Cal and now a sweet 16 with a garbage team.
Oh boy, if we lose tomorrow 😭Oh yeah and the media will say we ran Cal off, I can hear it now
Far from garbage teamWe suffered the last 5 years with Cal and now a sweet 16 with a garbage team.
Maybe rooting against Cal when it doesn't affect you is bad karma. (it is)We suffered the last 5 years with Cal and now a sweet 16 with a garbage team.
It's a worse lye to say we didn't lol. It was definitely mutual.Oh yeah and the media will say we ran Cal off, I can hear it now
I agree, Arkansas is far from a garbage team, they are very athletic, and have exceeded beyond what their archaic coach could have ever donelFar from garbage team
His team is full of loaded athletic slashers.
If you can't see past how the sec and the refs holds teams down that's on you.
They showed what they can do in rupp. It's no surprise really
It's not choking if you shoot like that all season.St Johns shot 28% from the Field and 9% from beyond the arc.
I mean anyone thinking it wasn't St Johns having the worst choking job in history is nuts.... Coach Cal had nothing to do with those numbers.
Don't forget 2012. Those type of seasons don't grow on trees. It has been 13 years and counting. Anytime a coach delivers a Championship, it hard to make chop liver out of him. I appreciate the trophy Cal delivred to Lexington and let's hope can do the same. A ton of really good coaches never achieve the Championship dream. We have been blessed to have 8 but only 4 since 1958. the is 4 in last 67 years or one every 16+ years. Cal beat our averagely winning one in 15 years. I think we just need to say thanks and let Cal ride off into a sunset. We were cursed having him as our coach.
Kind of reminded me of why he didn't guard the inbound pass in '92.Why in the world did Rick hold his best player out even though he was 3-17 ?
He was a 10 seed.it’s not a garbage team. everyone and their mom knew he’d have a good team for a year or two.
Dog house? I suspect he wasn't paying within the offense and St Johns were cutting the lead without him. Rick was sending a message and he didn't care if it cost him a win. Best two players were on the bench at the end. Hard to win that way.Why in the world did Rick hold his best player out even though he was 3-17 ?
It's a worse lye to say we didn't lol. It was definitely mutual.
I dislike Cal as much or more than anyone, but to suggest that his team is garbage is simply not true. They won today because Cal started his best players and stayed out of their way. You didn't see him playing head games with his players and trying to make it all about him. The team is very talented and if he stays out of the way, the team could make it to the final 4. His team has the right blend of old and young instead of all one-and-done players. Based on the way his wife was crying, it seems like the tourney not just the NBA means something. We suffered the last 5 years with Cal and now a sweet 16 with a garbage team.
Why do you care what the media say? If fans would stop reacting, the media would stop the needling.Oh yeah and the media will say we ran Cal off, I can hear it now
Not from anyone we respect. We’ll have the injury excuse but if BYU wins tonight too and we lose tomorrow we will hear about it no doubt.
The refs didn't do St. John's any favors either.St Johns shot 28% from the Field and 9% from beyond the arc.
I mean anyone thinking it wasn't St Johns having the worst choking job in history is nuts.... Coach Cal had nothing to do with those numbers.
Garbage team? There’s probally 5-6 draft picks on that team!!!We suffered the last 5 years with Cal and now a sweet 16 with a garbage team.
gaslighting! We’ll have the injury excuse but if BYU wins tonight too and we lose tomorrow we will hear about it no doubt.
He beat a 2 seed. Cal is a good coach, he just got caught up and enamored with one & done kids that is not a formula that wins championships. I bet he gets away from the one year kids going forward. I'm glad we have Pope but to continue to act like he had a trash team this year is just not true. The Fland kid's return from injury has given that team a whole new look just like if we had been healthy all year we would have looked totally different. We play Arkansas in their house next year and I do not look forward to that game. We may win but it most likely will not be a beatdown. He was a 10 seed.
Great postThis feels like a troll thread. But I guess I’ll go along.
No. Kentucky is still playing when most other Blue Bloods are out. Why would I feel cursed?
Calipari was a lazy fraud at Lexington for the last five years. Does anyone wish he was still with Kentucky?
Arkansas is, was and always will be a second-or-third tier program. Any Kentucky fan who ever feels any jealousy of anything they do is a sad sack.
Calipari took Fland, Wagner, Thiero, Knox, Richmond and Ivisic from Kentucky and kept the crème of Arkansas’ team. How could anyone realistically think Pope could arrive in late April with ZERO players and the best of the portal already locked up and assemble a better team? This was a one-year huge advantage for Cal.
That Pope had a much better regular season than Calipari speaks to his promise and how much Cal is washed up.
Whatever happens tomorrow, I’ll still be a Kentucky basketball fan. That’s a hell if a lot better thing to be than an Arkansas Razorback fan.
10 seed with a top ranked recruiting class and top portal entries. GarbageHe beat a 2 seed.
