College Gameday looks like fun.
Just thinking about going to the one at Allen Fieldhouse with my wife.
We are both 50+

Any rivals show up when you guys went to Gameday at Rupp?
Have you tried going to a rival's Gameday?

I don't think the environment for football Gameday is the same as basketball Gameday.

Since we will be so outnumbered, are we just inviting misery on ourselves?
Is there any way to meet up with a Wildcat group to go together?

Go! It will be a great environment. Tour AFH. See the new building that will house the original typed rules of the Game of Basketball that Naismith created. You will be welcome. No misery.

I recall there being a few opposing fans at Rupp a few years ago when we went.

I was about 10 feet to that guy filming's left. They funneled anyone wearing blue up there into our own little balcony section. Had I known they were going to do that I would have worn neutral colors.
By the way OP, I'm not sure if this is still the case but when I went to that Vandy Gameday, they didn't pipe in the audio of the broadcast. So if you weren't right next to Rece Davis, Digger Phelps, etc., you couldn't hear what was going on. They would grab the mic when they were off the air for some random stuff but the actual show, you can't hear the broadcast. I understand they can't do it because it would mess with the audio on the TV broadcast (I assume that's the reason anyway) but just FYI. Still worth going at least once to check it out (especially at a place like KU) but be prepared to be bored a few times - unless KU can keep it at full throttle for 2 hours.

I forgot the Digger video happened at Vanderbilt. I will anticipate being segregated.

They also moved any of us who came in not in blue then took off the neutral colors :p

My wife will be in KU gear, 1985 Grad :(
I will be in UK gear. Perhaps they will split us.
