First off, it wouldn't shock me to see the Royals win it all, they are hot as a firecracker at the right time of the year. Playing good baseball, actually really impressive baseball.Originally posted by Tskware:
LOL at the LAA. Spent about a gazillion dollars in the last 3 years and have 0 playoff wins to show for it.

I hate the Cards and the Giants . . . can both teams lose? Not only did the Cards beat my Reds in the regular season, but I bet on the Dodgers in the Div series and then went with St. Louis in the NLCS, so they are about to add two more good reasons to my list.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:
Doubtful. The Giants will beat them. I hate the ****ing Giants. I now can fully understand how the Dodgers feel when they have played the Cardinals the past couple of seasons.
I hope the Royals win, but I would not be surprised either if they pulled a Colorado Rockies from 07.
I just said that in another thread. I'm pulling for them, but I'm guessing once they lose they'll fall apart....Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:

Because the Giants are going to pitch Madison Bumgardner at all costs, and the Giants seem to be extremely lucky when he is on the mound. Royals have hit the guy pretty hard, but it is almost always right at someone. Hopefully tonight they will break through and route the Giants once again.Originally posted by Tskware:
WS is the 3rd series in a row I bet on KC. And just read where the last NINE times the WS went 7 games that the home team won.
So . . . why do I feel like I am going to get screwed "Royally" tonight.

I sure as hell thought he should have tried, given that they had only 2 hits off Bumgardner, and the SF closer was up and ready, the percentage of the next guy getting a hit was not good at all.Originally posted by JonathanW:
Anyone else think Gordon could have made it home?
When he stopped at 3rd it looked like the ball was being cut by the far cutoff (probably 220' from home).
Also it didn't look like he was going all-out until he saw the ball go underneath the OF's glove. I think he definitely would have made it had he been.
