Anybody else thinking the KC Royals will win the WS?

I would still say they are long shots, but damn, they are playing great baseball. Unbelievable defense and team speed on the base paths. Really been fun to watch.

They have been a blast to watch, but the Orioles have been playing outstanding baseball as well. It is going to be one great series to watch those two go head to head. I kind of hope the two NL series go a bit deeper so we don't have to wait until Friday to see more playoff baseball. lol

LOL at the LAA. Spent about a gazillion dollars in the last 3 years and have 0 playoff wins to show for it.

I'm a Reds fan.....but I've jumped on the KC bandwagon for the playoffs! Their games have been must-See Tv for me!

Best Baseball I've watched in a while!

First off, it wouldn't shock me to see the Royals win it all, they are hot as a firecracker at the right time of the year. Playing good baseball, actually really impressive baseball.
Speaking of the $$$$$LAA$$$$, as a Cards fan it really makes me thankful that we didn't spend all that on Albert every time I see them play.

Of the teams left, they are the one I am pulling for. I always liked George Brett who played for them when they last appeared in the World Series

Doubtful. The Giants will beat them. I hate the ****ing Giants. I now can fully understand how the Dodgers feel when they have played the Cardinals the past couple of seasons.

I hope the Royals win, but I would not be surprised either if they pulled a Colorado Rockies from 07.

I hate the Cards and the Giants . . . can both teams lose? Not only did the Cards beat my Reds in the regular season, but I bet on the Dodgers in the Div series and then went with St. Louis in the NLCS, so they are about to add two more good reasons to my list.

Since it is looking very doubtful the Cardinals are going to be in the Series this year I hope the Royals win it all.

I just said that in another thread. I'm pulling for them, but I'm guessing once they lose they'll fall apart....

WS is the 3rd series in a row I bet on KC. And just read where the last NINE times the WS went 7 games that the home team won.

So . . . why do I feel like I am going to get screwed "Royally" tonight.

Because the Giants are going to pitch Madison Bumgardner at all costs, and the Giants seem to be extremely lucky when he is on the mound. Royals have hit the guy pretty hard, but it is almost always right at someone. Hopefully tonight they will break through and route the Giants once again.

Well, I underestimated the Royals. Great Series. I really didn't want the Giants to win, mostly because they've had so much success, and because of an irrational dislike of California teams. But, I'm listening to the post-game interviews right now, and I got to say they are a hard bunch to dislike. Well spoken and humble to a man. Can you root for a team but against its fans?......

Anyone else think Gordon could have made it home?
When he stopped at 3rd it looked like the ball was being cut by the far cutoff (probably 220' from home).
Also it didn't look like he was going all-out until he saw the ball go underneath the OF's glove. I think he definitely would have made it had he been.

I sure as hell thought he should have tried, given that they had only 2 hits off Bumgardner, and the SF closer was up and ready, the percentage of the next guy getting a hit was not good at all.
