Any word on Flannigan?

Sometime later in the season Flannigan is going to be cleared to play and UK will get dinged up at the LB spot. (It happens because it's football.) Stoops will have to decide to play an inferior lb or play Flannigan for a few plays with limited practice time. That's a tough decision for a coach. Hope he gets cleared soon.

He won't burn Flanigan's final year of eligibility after mid-season without talking to him about it first. I think you can bank on that. Frankly, were I him, I would not even consider it. IMHO, he needs to saddle up no later than Game 6, or call it a day for this season. If he really might be marketable at the next level, he needs a chance to show it.

Kinda strange, Stoops said he was real close prior to the ULL game.

im guessing dislocated shoulder. in the pro's it's 6 to 12 weeks recovery. it is healed when it heals. you can be close the last 6 weeks of that 12 weeks. seems to kinda be like the famous "high ankle sprain".

A lot of people felt confident that he would play. I suppose at this point, if he's in, he's in, if not, he's not. No point in Stoops talking about it.
