I would love to see him in a Kentucky uniform along with the other recruits.
The state of college sports these daysBranham said it’s 50/50 and that UNC has gained some ground on Kentucky. I still think he ends up at Kentucky and is just dragging the process along to get more NIL
Maybe we'll get lucky and some other avenue for these kids who aren't interested in a degree, can go play ball before they head to the NBA or overseas. Then we can get back to telling recruits to either piss or get off the pot.Branham said it’s 50/50 and that UNC has gained some ground on Kentucky. I agree. Wilson’s biggest positive is his versatility, but he isn’t a superstar at anything, he is solid at a lot of things but not Zion, AD, Carmelo, level freshman. Kentucky can get a portal guy who can get 10-15 ppg and 6-7 boards, but I also really want Wilson hereWill any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?
Kid went from an absolute longshot in the summer to a UK "lock" by mid-Fall, and now it's 50/50. The same talking heads have advocated all three narratives.
No one really knows much of anything it seems, outside the fact that Wilson loves the attention and wants to draw this out as long as he can.
I love his game, but if we don't get him, I'm okay with that. He isn't transcendent and he'll be good for 12 and 5 wherever he goes, which is the type of production that can be found in the portal.
I lost all appetite for this type of drama with Calipari about five years ago. If Wilson comes, great. If not, I wish him well.
I wouldn't be shocked if he waited, but for now I'll take the kid's word when he said he'll definitely commit in January, hopefully it's was but if not it won't be as big of a blow if he did wait. Will any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?

This is the future of college sports, it’s professional sports now, they just need to say it. Amateurism left college sports(as it should have) but until they find a way to regulate all this, college sports will continue to be a circus.Maybe we'll get lucky and some other avenue for these kids who aren't interested in a degree, can go play ball before they head to the NBA or overseas. It's going to take schools getting together and saying "we're not going to participate in this". If a school can't provide a quality education without funding from sports, I'd argue it's not much of an institution. It's not a preferred thing to do from a fan standpoint, but I think it's the right thing to do.This is the future of college sports, it’s professional sports now, they just need to say it. To me NIL should have been the players being able to find deals outside the university. Kentucky or any other school shouldn’t have to pay 500k to get a kid to come here. The player should be able to do any marketing deal or thing they want with a business that isn’t the universityIt's going to take schools getting together and saying "we're not going to participate in this". That’s what it’s supposed to be but the courts have taken away any power the NCAA has to regulate it. Until a federal law addresses it uniformly it will stay this way.To me NIL should have been the players being able to find deals outside the university. Wilson is pretty legit man, he’s an upper tier recruit like a TJones level of player.I agree. He is solid no doubt about it, I just don’t see tier one like AD Zion Carmelo or fox and monk. I see him a tier below that, which is still really damn good.Wilson is pretty legit man, he’s an upper tier recruit like a TJones level of player.
T Jones was pretty damn good though. He was elite from day one.He is solid no doubt about it, I just don’t see tier one like AD Zion Carmelo or fox and monk. I see him a tier below that, which is still really damn good.

Wilson’s impact will be doing a little bit of everything instead of getting eye popping numbersT Jones was pretty damn good though. He was elite from day one.
There's very very few schools that could exist then. Ivy Leagues, maybe very prestigious schools like UNC, UVA, Duke, etc. Most of the University's do get some public funding (i.e like UK and other land grant schools) but without sports, they wouldn't have near the infrastructure they have now. Like it or not, sports help fund educations. It's going to take schools getting together and saying "we're not going to participate in this". Caleb Wilson reminds me of a slightly lighter, less efficient version of Jonathan Isaac. I know a lot of people compare Wilson to Terrence Jones, but Terrence was pretty ripped coming into college. Wilson will be around 210 lbs next year. Isaac was roughly the same weight, and is only one inch taller. If Caleb goes to UNC after both our seasons then idk what to say.
You base all this on one recruiting analysts' opinion? Make sure you show up after Wilson commits and so will I. One of is going to have to eat crow because I'm not buying what you seem to be selling. Will any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?

It's mind-boggling that this is your response based on what I wrote. Tell you what, can you even tell what I was arguing in my post? You base all this on one recruiting analysts' opinion? I can't help it if you can't understand my comments, much less your own. It's mind-boggling that this is your response based on what I wrote. Tell you what, can you even tell what I was arguing in my post?

I’ve felt like he’s going to UNC this whole time for some reason 😐Will any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?

Heard rumored today's lunch is wings with BLUE cheese dip.. the tea leaves say this means good thingsHe had a ham salad sandwich for lunch.....That's all the info I could muster.
That’s a good comparison. I meant Jones in a more skill set based game not so much in body type.Caleb Wilson reminds me of a slightly lighter, less efficient version of Jonathan Isaac. I know a lot of people compare Wilson to Terrence Jones, but Terrence was pretty ripped coming into college. Wilson will be around 210 lbs next year. Isaac also had decent handles for his size, and shot 35% from three as a frosh. Isaac's rebounding numbers were solid at nearly 8 per game. If Wilson can get UK 8 rebounds per game in his first year here, that would be a massive coup from a schematic position.
So you have no clue what I was talking about, but you wanted to argue with me anyway?
"Follow the Money!"Will any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?

In recent vids, Wilson appears to have gained some weight/muscle. I think he is probably closer to 220 than 210. That doesn’t mean he is a bruiser. It just seems like he has gotten stronger.Caleb Wilson reminds me of a slightly lighter, less efficient version of Jonathan Isaac. If CMP wants him I want him but , the 2 million we’re spending on him could buy a damn nice PROVEN 4 man than can actually be a 3pt threat. From what I hear ….he hasn’t signed with UK but he has accepted an NIL deal with UK people and has already been spending it . So what happens if he doesn’t honor that ?Will any of us really be surprised if he waits until the spring and ends up picking UNC?

How can you say it could get a proven 4 man, when we have no idea who will even be available? I take the bird in hand. People on HOB have talked about it, should have put tifwiw after it. But insiders.Who said he signed a NIL deal already
Well yeah if he is the “bird in hand “ . But I believe we will always be able to get someone like Andrew Carr , or better if we pay 2 million. You are a lot higher on flashy one year freshman than I am .How can you say it could get a proven 4 man, when we have no idea who will even be available? I take the bird in hand. If he signed a contract for money he received and then goes somewhere else, I would think there is a legal remediation that could take place.
If we strike out on him, I would think we put the all out full court press on Miikka and Ament. If we fail there, then hit the portal hard. If it is as easy to find a top level PF as you think, we will be fine.
